I just wonder whether all is what it seems. It was a bit odd that the chap was filmed running back onto the 'plane 10 minutes later

Apparently they had a change of heart and let him back on....as for his "l want to go home mutterings" this was more than likley due to him being disorientated having sustained a blow to his head.

I think the story revolves around a company putting it's own interests above that of their fee paying customers.

It's not just their own staff who can blag a free seat. Provided the airline has some sort of relationship with another airline, any aircrew can get a free flight with any airline

It even made the lunchtime news on BBC, obviously a slow day in the newsroom.

Saw it on the news this morning.

Not sure how cabin crew take priority of a freebie seat over a fare paying passenger. Perhaps he thought that was his seat. It certainly won't do their business any favours.

They don't, they have to wait at the airport until an empty seat comes up. Airlines want revenue-generating pax, not freeloaders

Well, the head honcho has now given a most abject apology, so I'm guessing the airline has accepted they've done wrong

It would have been better if the person(s) who dragged the chap off and caused the injury had apologised

Hi Gill

I dare say the $600 million fall in their share price will have had something to do with the CDM'S 'u-turn' heartfelt apology. I hope the 69 year old man takes them for another few hundred thousand dollars in compensation.

The way this man was manhandled the company should think themselves lucky that they're not facing a charge of culpable homicide.

Regards

Keith

You can always rely on the Daily Wail - they reckon he narrowly escaped jail for supplying drugs for gay parties !

Welcome to the 8,000 posts club by the way. Just for the sake of staying remotely on-topic, is that anything like the mile high club ?!
