I always though that the refuge of second rate politicians was the EU, but the Labour party now runs them a close second, and the Lib Dems choice of leader an even closer third.

Heard the EU bureaucrats trying to interfere in our election again by denigrating Theresa May. Clearly desperate that she doesn't win with a decent majority. They'd much prefer a weak government here to weaken our bargaining position. If they really want us to stay all they need to do is reform and then even I'd be up for a second referendum. But at the moment they're continuing to fiddle while Rome burns! And making clearer every day that the decision to leave was the right one.

I might be with you Merv, but not if it means they keep the Euro and further political integration. A great shame really but the polticians have ruined what was a very successful free trade community, and the only beneficiaries seem to be the EU politicians and bureaucrats.

My guess is we don't know who the leader of the opposition will be. If Theresa thrashes Labour it won't be Jezzer. If Theresa loses it won't be her.

As I have said before - if there is leadership bid in the Labour Party and Corbyn is arrogant enough to contest it, then with his "loyalty" vote in the Labour Party it is conceivable that he could win and in doing so create a split of the Labour Party that will take many years to heal.

Well TM spoke the truth for sure when she said last night the Eurocrats were trying to interfere in our election. I said it before she did.

Let's face it, who would they prefer? A strong government with a mandate to get the job done.

Or Jezzer. Propped up by a coalition with the SNP and Lib Dems, neither of whom want us to leave the EU.

So not surprising they're doing all they can to undermine the Tories.

I believe all this talk about a £50billion exit fee which has now risen to £100bn only serves to demonstrate
a) their bully boy threatening tactics and
b) how much they rely upon UK's contribution to the EU pot
If that represents our contribution I ask how much are the other 27 nations putting in?
Of course we all know the answer to that one.
It seems it is the EU which is pushing for a hard Brexit because I believe TM, as a previous Remainer, would prefer us to leave the EU but for the status quo to remain much the same. This would be unacceptable to the rest of the EU as they seek to preserve their cosy little clique.

I suppose its not surprising that the EU are talking down the UK prospects, presumably to frighten us into paying a high exit fee, however I cannot see the sense in them trying to talk up the liklihood of a poor trade deal, as this would be equally detrimental to the EU countries, some more than others.
What I do object to is the interpretation the BBC puts on these issues, clearly most of the presenters would prefer that Theresa fails and that we then seek to rescind article 50.
I think maybe we need to ship the remainers off to Scotland and let wee krankie have her 2nd independence referendum whilst the rest of us get on with Brexit.
