Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
I quite understand that a lot of mothers have a need to breastfeed their infants but why do so many of them feel the need to occupy the window seats in Caffè Nero before lobbing out the milk churns ?!

Likewise in God's own county, but a bit windy and cool.

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
Could be about to start a controversy here, but yes I agree Mum's should be able to breast feed babies as and when required, but a bit of discretion is also appropriate - as practiced by the vast majority. I detest the militant breast feeders who deliberately make an exhibition of it. And as for the one (or maybe more than one) reported in the paper who tried to sue a swimming pool after she was asked not to breast feed actually in the water! How stupid and arrogant can you get?qbman1 wrote: 04 May 2017, 11:44I quite understand that a lot of mothers have a need to breastfeed their infants but why do so many of them feel the need to occupy the window seats in Caffè Nero before lobbing out the milk churns ?!

There is nothing more natural than breast feeding .... just saying.
However ... I really do fail to see how anybody could take offence unless, that is, they see it / them as a sexual object(s) and as such it / they offends their prudish values.

I'm not offended. My example of the woman breastfeeding in the actual swimming pool, rather than on the seats at the side, is an issue of hygiene for me. Peeing is natural too, but I don't do it in the pool!Manoverboard wrote: 04 May 2017, 15:44There is nothing more natural than breast feeding .... just saying.

Nice weather here, lovely and sunny:)
We walked to the polling station then when we got home, I have been sitting out in the back garden working on a "tan" and reading a book!

Fair enough but, tell me, what health risks are associated with a new born baby .... or indeed a boob or two ?Mervyn and Trish wrote: 04 May 2017, 18:45I'm not offended. I would have thought it was more of a risk to the baby, bearing in mind what goes on in public swimming pools !
