Bodnant Gardens

We are off to Wales soon, to visit Bodnant Gardens again.
Timed to go see the Laburnam Arch.

It's an amazing thing to see...and we have been a couple of times, but still love it !!

We have not been back to Wales for a couple of years now.....So many lovely memories of being there , also brings back memories of bloody Bella

Then off to Ireland in a couple of weeks or so for ten days to do a bit of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Looking forward to that.

I was very interested to see your pictures. We are staying for two nights near Llandudno at the end of June and some friends who know the area told us we must visit Bodnant Gardens. So, having seen your fantastic pictures it's definitely on our list.

Enjoy, we are going on Tuesday. They have just added some photos of the arch to their Facebook page. We called in 2 weeks ago today and the car park was packed, we were right up the hill i nan area I didn't even know existed. But once inside there were no crowds, even managed to get a table for 8 of us in the cafe, not sure what they had done with them all!

We used to like going to Bodnant when all the Rhods and Azas were in full bloom - a riot of colour.

Funnily enough Kaymar, that takes me back to last year when my husband thought for my 'special' i.e. 'large' birthday I would like two nights in December in North Wales. Once I had disabused him of that idea we went for a ten night Christmas Markets cruise on Aurora instead! He said he'd never been to North Wales and so I responded that I had and every time I went there during my growing up with my parents it rained! I also said that to celebrate my December birthday there wasn't a good idea. So for his birthday I've booked two nights at the end of June in what looks like a rather good hotel - and yes I'll be taking my brolly! I'm just hoping that even if it rains at least it won't be cold rain.

North Wales was our destination for many years, we went during the Wimbledon fortnight / three weeks and if it rained it was nothing short of a miracle .... superb holiers in Mrs Jones's cottage in Llanbedrog.
