Do they think that society will change if they callously blow people up? It actually draws us closer together.
So sorry for those who are caught up in all of this. It's such a tragic waste of life.

Truly devastating but what baffles me is how this guy got the device in there.

In my [limited] experience of this type of event security is so high that it is almost impossible to get anything in.

It seems he/she was in the foyer as people were leaving when security may have been more relaxed or he/she may have been outside the security cordon either wearing a suicide vest or carrying a rucksack.
Sadly it's not difficult to find crowds of people to carry out these cowardly attacks on and we can't secure everything. Hopefully innocent Moslem communities, who are just as shocked as we are, will not be targeted by a few ignorant hot heads.
What an awful day for families of the victims.

Death toll now 22.

I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say our thoughts go out to all concerned.

It's times like this that the good old British bull dog spirit kicks in and we all pull together with acts of kindness.

The key is to carry on as normal and not let these people disrupt our way of life

It is, however, absolutely dreadful and, as you say, we are absolutely with anyone caught up in the events

Do we know that the bomber was a Moslem .... could have been a white feller from Moss Side ?

Whether or not that will be the assumption. It's vital the majority - and I mean vast majority - innocent and compassionate Muslim community are fast to condemn the attack.

It's incredibly sad to see some of the names being released my heart goes out to all the families affected.
But what got my attention toon was that children as young as 8 years old were at this concert. Late in the evening on a monday night during term time. How times have changed.

Looks like there were loads of really young children, unaccompanied, there too. Amazing.

They don't deserve to be exposed to this unexpected horror. But that apart that's irresponsible parenting

I agree, they should be able to go anywhere in total safety but even when I was growing up and there was no terror threat, I wouldn't have been allowed out that late at night, alone at that age

I cannot believe you are putting the blame of this on irresponsible parents !!!!
No one knows for certain any details yet, other than the darling 8 year old who lost her life was separated from her parents!!
I was going to concerts from the age of 13, and my parents were far from irresponsible.

I must also say, I took my daughter to see Cliff Richard at the age of 8 years old at the NEC.

Not, for a moment, suggesting that the parents were to blame Spuddy but I was just surprised at the age of some of the children allowed to go to the concert unaccompanied. Guess I just haven't moved with the times.

' Content deleted ' ... I think we need to carry on with life as usual or the terrorists win

With all the publcity about suicide bombers becoming martyrs and having a lifetime supply of virgins in heaven, I wonder if it would act as a deterrent if UK imans were to declare that bombers would become the playthings of evil homosexuals?

Yeah! No doubt we'll get a couple of Imans paying lip service then it'll be back to the mosque preaching Allah is the only true God.

I see Daesch have claimed 'responsibility'. How noble of a group which thinks it is acceptable to blow up innocent children. I know what I would like to do to them once caught but it is against the law.
