Interestingly last night on QT Angus Robertson was talking about a hard border going up in Northern Ireland when we leave the EU. (I thought it had already been mooted there would be no hard border but that was last week).
He then went on to talk about Scotland getting independence from the UK. That being the case would there not be a border between England and Scotland caused by Scottish independence or would Mrs Krankie expect the same benefits from membership of the UK as she enjoys now?

It's all just words, more words, smoke and mirrors Foxy.
Roll on 9th of June and it's all put to bed.
Very little mention of Farron's car crash interview with Andrew Neil last night.
I guess that reinforces his irrelevance

I'm beginning to think Jezzer may have a problem. He might actually win this election.

When the campaign began a Tory landslide was predicted. Even Jezzer's big Union backer said it would be a victory if he managed to hang on to 200 seats. He looked destined for oblivion.

So I think he went for a policy of damage limitation. By offering uncosted and unfunded bribes to every section of the community he hoped to at least limp home without too much humiliation.

But what if he actually wins?

He'll have to deliver. And when Diane Abbott finds her calculator they'll realise how impossible that is.

As debts and unemployment start to rise, along with the benefits bill and the queues at food banks, and tax receipts and the pound plummet, what then?

Even worse if he scrapes home short of an overall majority. He'll have to try to get his madcap policies past a gaggle of other parties who have little in common beyond a hatred of the Tories.

And while he struggles with a lame duck administration what of Brexit? Will they wait while he sorts it all out?

Possibly not.

Doubtful, but then I'm the eternal optimist.

Problem is, TM believed she had it in the bag and thought she could introduce policies that most parties pop into the mix mid-term. The care changes was the turning point, and the press highlighted the difference between funding of different conditions, eg if you get a brain tumour you are funded, if you get dementia you are not. Both are terminal diseases, but treated differently. Plus she decided that a couple would now have the house included in the sums when it came to care, thus having slaved away to pay off our mortgages, the surviving spouse would find themselves living in a house with a debt to the government hanging over their head, even if it was after the second death.

Nick Timothy seems to have a lot to answer for.

Holding my nose and voting Tory, but she hasn't made it easy.

The very thought of Thornberry, McDonnell and Abbott getting top jobs in Corbyn's cabinet should be enough to put anyone off voting Labour...I bloody well hope so because it'll be the biggest mistake this country will ever make if this nightmare were ever to become reality.

I despise many of the things conservatism stands for but now isn't the time to be looking for alternatives. In the absence of any other credible leader Theresa May is our best chance of steering us through what will be some very choppy waters ahead...and the reason why I'm putting my country first in voting conservative... first time in many years.

The BBC news team seem to be doing their best to portray Theresa as a lying loser, I don't think I have ever seen such biased and negative reporting of an election before. They all appear to be sore remainers who are determined to bloody the Tories' nose for leading us out of the EU.

The truth of the matter is that was what the people of the country wanted, and why Cameron got voted in. The subsequent referendum showed a (slim) majority wanted Brexit. Bliar had promised a referendum and then reneged. That is what you get from a Labour government and why I would never trust them. Cameron was forced into the referendum by an ever burgeoning UKIP. He believed we would vote to Remain and quickly jumped ship when he didn't get the result he expected.
The next left wing bleat was that May had no mandate as PM because she had not been voted in (but neither was George Brown). She has now called a general election so she will have a mandate. And that's wrong as well!!!
Time for some people to make their minds up exactly what they do want.
Hopefully in a week's time the boo boys and baying mobs of the left will go home and we can all have a break from them, until the next roundabout they choose to jump on.

For the very same reason I will vote Tory, something I have never done in my life. To be honest I don't trust any of them but in this instance it's the best of a very bad job and I am also putting country first.
Mind you, around here if you put a red rosette on a donkey they would vote for it - 'I've always voted Labour cos it's for the working man ( ). Me mam and dad voted Labour so I do'. Aaaaaargh!!!

But it is entirely true, as you clearly stated, that George Brown was never voted in as Prime Minister!

The current opinion polls do show a worrying trend of stronger support for Labour, clearly Jezza's promise to soak the rich to pay for all his increased social spending is appealing to a lot of voters. However all that will do is slow down investment and increase the demand for more tax avoidance, it won't really hurt the rich who have enough wealth to ride out any political storm, but it will lead to higher unemployment which will hurt just the ones that are likely to be influenced by these tactics.

That Laura Kuenssberg is to be the worst culprit - she always seems to have an unpleasant sneer on her face whenever she is interviewing anyone with leanings to the right of Karl Marx (although maybe that isn't helped by her mouth, which appears about to slide off her face whenever she gets animated!)

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting a sinking feeling about the way this election is going ?! I have always had great faith that, at the end of the day, the Great British Public will see through Labour's ridiculous and unsustainable bribes and see Jezzer for the IRA sympathiser and pacifist that he clearly is - bit now, I'm not so sure.

Not only is the BBC reporting bias so are the audience election debates which are full of leftie supporters, even the BBC (outside broadcast) public opinion interviews seen to signal out leftie voters.

Disgraceful!!

The problem in the debates is there are only two right wing parties. Tory and UKIP. The rest are all left wing. A few years back everyone seemed to be camped in the middle ground. Now they've all fled to the extremes.

He's offered bribes to everyone. All they see is £ signs and no realisation it has to be paid for.

I'm sick of the times I've heard people say the government should spend more on this or that.

They don't grasp that the govt has no money. It is our money they spend
