I wouldn't be at all surprised if we end up with more or less the same Conservative majority we had before this election. That will have made it all really worthwhile then !!

I'll be there doing my Jeremy Vine impression (though not his cha cha) with my mate doing his David Dimbleby. But to be honest I don't think you need to listen beyond 5 past 10. We'll be starting with the exit poll and for the last two elections that's been spot on.

I think we're about 145 on the list of Labour target seats. So not terribly marginal! But it's the most important seat for our listeners. Both of themManoverboard wrote: 07 Jun 2017, 17:00Is Biddulph / Mow Cop the Centre of the Universe, election-wise .... one politely enquires![]()

Not sure what this tells you but I can't remember an election where I have had less interest in the campaigning and rhetoric but more interest in the result.

Spotted on Twaddle today.....
This is not a 12 year old's answer to the question "What is borrowing?" The man who wants to be Prime Minister actually said this.

I though Merv was doing an Exit Poll chat show for a couple of hours pre midnight rather than a full night shift ... oh well, never mind, we'll all be having a nice sleep pending an early-ish breaky with the early results
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I don't think he will get too much joy from the youth turnout - they are already on the Isle of Wight ready for the start of the Isle of Wight Pop Festival tomorrow. Gridlock around Newport, stories about elderly people being sent home from our local hospital to make way for the druggies and drunks who might need help and, oh joy, it is raining and that always adds to the chaos.towny44 wrote: 07 Jun 2017, 14:58It appears he is assuming a massive youth turnout to produce his result, of course as Andrew Neil pointed out, most of the extra youth vote will be in already safe Labour seats.

There's an old Chinese curse that says " May you live in interesting times". I do believe that it has come to pass.
