True. And it won't take long. He writes them before he boards.

In fact cut out the paperwork. Jusk ask how much extra OBC we want as we board and how much to refund as we disembark.

I think it's personal choice on a cruise. All the bags are heading to the same place. Not like a plane where you can't get your weapons out of your hold bags mid flight.

Thanks chaps ... I was thinking that ( a la airports ) the Cruise Terminals may wish one to switch one's devices on to ensure that it/they is/are the real deal.
With that thought in mind it seems to be the case that Stephen is on the nose ... but maybe I had better ask Cubie and Foxy when they get back from their cruises just to be sure.

Never yet been asked to prove that my iPad is the real deal. It just goes through security at Southampton with Mrs S's hand luggage. But I guess there is always a first time for everything.

Can be either but, seeing the way the baggage handlers toss the 'cases around, I always carry mine (+ cameras, binoculars, etc) in the hand luggage !Manoverboard wrote: 30 Jul 2017, 16:58Thanks chaps ... Then that is what I will continue to do, had wondered if the Cruise Terminals were telling one to put one's electronics in the hold hole.qbman1 wrote: 01 Aug 2017, 11:31Can be either but, seeing the way the baggage handlers toss the 'cases around, I always carry mine (+ cameras, binoculars, etc) in the hand luggage !Manoverboard wrote: 30 Jul 2017, 16:58Thanks chaps ... No problem - it seems you can carry through what you like, so long as it goes through the scanner - including your belt and shoes so don't wear loose trousers or socks with holes in ! They do ask you to put lap-tops through separately, though, and not in the general hand baggage - not sure why.

That's obviously why I ended up with a pair of scarlet heels and a gold lamé belt last time I went through !

That's what happens when you try to smuggle a magnum of champaign on board.
