False insurance claims
Has anyone else been hassled by ambulance chaser lawyers trying to get you to make a claim for deli belly on a holiday?
At the minute I am plagued with callers saying they can get me compensation. I have always refused to take them up on their kind offer - more likely to ask them how they sleep at night knowing they are bottom feeding scavengers.
However I see that hotels and travel companies have been fighting back and, even those that have chanced their arms and are trying to drop similar cases, they are being sued themselves by the hotels and travel companies ... and winning. Several people have thousands of pounds judgements against them.

Re: False insurance claims
I get the occassional call saying I've been in an accident. I just say I have not been involved in an accident, to stop phoning or I will report them and then hang up.
Scum bags.

Not had a delhi belly call but I still get calls about a car accident more than five years ago. They tell me they can get me compo for personal injury. Even though the car was parked and we weren't in it at the time!

I do sometimes let them rabbit on for a while wasting their time and money before I innocently ask "Does it make any difference that I wasn't in the car?"

Re: False insurance claims
Getting back to the original topic, but not exactly on the same theme.
Some years back we had a stone chip on the bonnet of the car and then in a totally unrelated incident we were hit by some debris on the motorway which smashed the front number plate and grill. So quite innocently I said to the insurance company that the debris had been thrown up and caused the "chip" to the bonnet - after all it was only a few minutes job to touch it up. Imagine my surprise when the repairers said that it needed a new bonnet - me thinks somebody was ripping somebody off!
