Is Ryanair finished?
So Ryanair have cancelled another bunch of flights affecting nearly half a million passengers because they are too inept to manage their holiday rota. And it seems they are being less than helpful to passengers left in the lurch and not being open about what compensation may be due.
In many cases people have been lured into booking with them by cheap prices and a previous reputation for arriving on time.
Now those people are having to rebook with other carriers at prices which will by now have risen. And the reputation for punctuality has been replaced by one for not arriving at all.
So have they now committed business suicide?
Would you ever book with them in the future?
I certainly wouldn't unless they were the only carrier going where I wanted to be. If anyone else was going, even at a higher price, I'd choose them.

Re: Is Ryanair finished?
I am not sure that I would have booked with Ryanair, or any other low cost airline, in that past unless there was no other option.
Interestingly on the news last night this same question was being asked to which the reply from the "expert" was that Ryanair was one of the strongest and most profitable airlines in Europe - so I would guess that it will survive.

As Ryanair WERE just about to takeover Alitalia, I think other airlines will go to the wall first.

It's a complete mess, but I have to say, when we had to cancel a weekend in Budapest because my mother was dying, they refunded every penny within 24 hours of me calling them -and without needing to submit any evidence whatsoever. What's more, they sent me a letter of sympathy. I couldn't have asked for any better service.

Not sure I would use them again, although the very few times we have used them we have never had any problems.
Will the receivers be called in anytime soon? I doubt it.

On the BBC news, Michael O'Leary told the reporter, that in a few weeks time, those that have said they will never fly Ryanair again will have forgot all about it and come flocking back, I've seen it all before.
WE will wait and see, but I have a feeling that he is correct.

There probably will be some who will not fly with Ryanair again but many who will, if for no other reason than there may not be any alternative - all it bit like those who are saying that they will not cruise with P&O again because they have sold Adonia.Ray B wrote: 29 Sep 2017, 12:13in a few weeks time, those that have said they will never fly Ryanair again will have forgot all about it and come flocking back, I've seen it all before.

If you were left stranded for an unacceptable time, tread badly, struggling to get your fair back let alone compo I personally think you would have to be out of your tiny mind to trust flying with such an incompetent half wit such as O'Leary again.

My life is ruined. I don't have a flight booked with Ryanair so can't get the cancellation compo. Do you think I have a justifiable claim ?

Easy to be flippant when you weren't one of the people affected QB.qbman1 wrote: 29 Sep 2017, 14:44My life is ruined. I don't have a flight booked with Ryanair so can't get the cancellation compo. Do you think I have a justifiable claim ?
