If Mr Corbyn gets into No. 10 then I may be applying for Greek citizenship!
If, if? isn't it a matter of when? No matter who is to run this political asylum I fear for our children and grandchildren :-(

I really am at a loss to understand why you, and other remainers, are so convinced that leaving the EU will be so disastrous. The slant put on the Brexit discussions by most of the TV news channels does sometimes appear as though Armageddon is on the horizon, but over the years they have been found wanting when it comes to any sort of forward economic, or for that matter political, forecasts, so why would they be correct now?

Its not just the Brexit difficulties that concern me. There are a litenary of problems facing our country and the choice we have to sort them is either a paralised teactionary right Tory party or a marxist lead Labour party. :-(

In my opinion one of the best attributes of a Govt. is the ability to change nothing just in case the change makes things worse, so a paralysed Tory party is fine with me.

The latest from this omnishambles Brexit government is to declare, in law no less, that we are leaving at 11pm 29 March 2019.
Why 11pm? Because it's midnight Brussels time. Shows how much in control we are.

But the real fun fact is that for the last five months Barnier has been saying we are leaving 24 hours earlier! (Because of what May stated in her letter).
"Either:
1. We’re trying to stay for an extra day.
2. Midnight means something different in Europe.
3. Dexeu got the wrong day." [@faisalislam]

Who cares about a day or an hour either way?

I think TM's point in making this statement is to indicate to the EU, and her Remainer rebels, that we are going within that 24 hour bracket. Not staying another two years as Germany is now suggesting.

If Germany want us to stay then look at the concerns that lead us to vote to leave, reform the EU accordingly, and then I, and I suspect many others, will agree to stay for the foreseeable future.

Many of us voted out because Cameron and the EU put up two fingers to the UK electorate by coming up with pathetic, and non binding, indicements to stay.

The European Banking Agency is officially moving out of the UK to Paris and the European Medical Agency to Amsterdam.

Thanks Brexit, that'll do the UKs global reputation for banking and medicinal research the world of good ...

Jack, these are EU organisations, of course they will relocate to somewhere still in EU, it would be stupid to think otherwise.

So some in the EU have been critical of the stability of our government and see it as a distraction in achieving a smooth Brexit. Well at least we have a government. Meanwhile in Germany, the most powerful nation in the EU..........

Perhaps you should have mentioned that to our Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union ...

"Britain is fighting to remain the home of two of the EU’s most prestigious agencies covering medicines and banking after Brexit, in a move that is likely to cause astonishment in European capitals.

David Davis, Brexit secretary, does not accept that the two agencies and roughly 1,000 staff will have to move from London’s Canary Wharf, even though the EU is about to run a competition to relocate them.

A UK Brexit department spokesman said: “No decisions have been taken about the location of the European Banking Authority or the European Medicines Agency — these will be subject to the exit negotiations.”

Great Britain has now lost its seat at the International Court of Justice (to India), which we have held since the courts inception in 1946.

How much further has this country to fall before people realise enough is enough?

What's the problem? It is all fake news. We were assured by Messrs Johnson, Gove and Davies that the EU would be falling over in order to give us a super deal, they never mention a settlement being required, more fake news. Just a matter of time now before the negotiations are concluded and we can pump those millions a week into health and social care. Can't wait

It's getting worse, heard some idiot on the box last night saying that we have been sold a pup by Messrs Johnson, Gove and Davies.
Please Tell me they are wrong :-(

I have said all along that it is all about money. The UK is net contributor and when we go there will be a "black hole" that will have to be filled and now with the German Government being an unknown factor the EU, who don't know what "negotiation" is, let alone how to go about it, is in turmoil and risks a total breakup.

Truth is they don't want us to leave, can't afford for us to leave, fear that others will be motivated to leave and need our money for their extravagant projects. They might even have to give up their jaunts to Strasburg.

Barnier is still saying that to achieve a satisfactory trade deal we will need to continue to observe many EU regulations, and all this depends on us paying them many billions more; then there is still the virtually impossible border arrangements to decide for NI.
Continuing to observe many EU rules is most definitely not what I voted for, so I am increasingly moving towards a complete split with the EU, WTA tariffs and pull out now and refuse to pay anything more into their coffers; and I will be quite happy to suffer ANY consequences of that sort of separation if we can be free of all EU encumbrances.

Do the EU actually want us to leave!! They should know by then that if the British are pushed too far they will not stand for it. It seems at the moment they are pushing us to say - Right, that's it, we've bent over backwards to negotiate with you - we're off! I wish.
