I've been wondering that - the admirable Admiral seems to have disappeared as well.

Re: Dennis the Menace
Following an exchange of e-mails between us these past few days I can advise that ' The Menace ' is heavily involved in writing a book, because all his energy and concentration is required for this huge task he will not be able to post on here in the immediate future
Can only wish him all the very best with this demanding endeavour

Re: Dennis the Menace
Alan, please tell him to stop long enough on Sunday to watch the first Grand Prix of the season. We will be on Azura so don't know if we will be able to see it or not. P&O have said they have this new Sports thing which will include F1, so here's hoping. Dennis was so helpful with his F1 updates last year when we were away. I hope his book is very successful.

Oh, that's good then, just so long as he's OK. Thanks for the info, MoB and good luck with the book, Dennis, if you happen to look in.

Re: Dennis the Menace
Firstly good luck wishes to DtM - it'll be nice to say that I know an author! Will he still be on here when he is rich and famous though?
Anyway, if there is going to be a launch - who is going to be invited? (Just running for the potting shed to hide, I know I shouldn't have said that)!

Pleased to know he's alright.
I wonder if his book will be "Fifty Sheds of Grey"?

Writing a book, is that what he's told you?
My sources tell me that he was arrested on a bus in Swindon for lewd conduct with his inflatable girlfriend, Lola. Apparently he's claiming that it's been blown out of all proportion

Re: Dennis the Menace
A message received this morning from ' DTM ' ... albeit posted by MoB
"thanks very much everyone, I'm absolutely fine, and would post that on here myself but having trouble signing in. As Moby say's I'm just trying to finish this book. I doubt whether it will ever see a publisher, and with a working title of "Sicknote goes cruising" who can blame them, but I'd like to finish it for my own sense of achievement now

Re: Dennis the Menace
You could always "self-publish", Dennis. I used a good company in Sodding Chipbury - er, Chipping Sodbury, to publish my mum's autobiography. The costs were very reasonable. I seem to recall she had 20 printed, just to give away.Dennis The Menace wrote:A message received this morning from ' DTM ' ... albeit posted by MoB![]()

Me too!
I have been known to pop into the big superstore in your area; but Cribbs seems to be going downhill - so I won't go so often now.

Re: Dennis the Menace
The Lady C has worked at The Mall at Cribbs since a week after it opened! I, and my three children, have also worked there at various times.
A lot of units are empty, which spoils the place, and there's a lot of reorganisation going on - I think in readiness for the planned extension. Personally, I don't rate the place as an "all-in" shopping centre, but if you take it as a part of Cribbs generally, with Asda/Morrisons and the other retail park, it's passable.
Next time you're coming down, Em, give us a shout and we'll let you take us out for a coffee

Re: Dennis the Menace
Dear Alan the Shiney One,
Good evening, I hope you (and the other contributors to this fine Forum) are well.
I heard that you were asking after me so I thought I'd take a break from writing my book and pop on and say hello.
Unlike Dennis's book, which is bound to be crap because he talks like a yokel and thinks a combine harvester is a cool set of wheels, mine is destined to be a blockbuster. It is a tale about a community of amphibious humanoids who lose their home and are spread to all corners of their world(wide web) and it follows their struggle to find a new home to replace the old one. They worship a greater being called Po and the greater beings senior disciple, a lesser being called Cazzer. This senior being ultimately has the power to reunite the amphibious humanoids with their old home but doesn't and instead creates another home for them which unfortunately most of them don't particularly like.
Do you think I should be contacting Doubleday or Penguin for an immediate advance or just drop Steven Spielberg a line to talk about the film rights?
I would greatly appreciate hearing your opinion, you being a cerebral chap and all.
Regards
Admiral Rob
