Picture postcard pretty here - car may be staying in garage today though - the hill I live on is looking a bit dodgy :problem:

Nope.

The log fire will be burning away nicely while I'm watching strictly with my feet up and sipping on a whiskey.

No snow here....yet. The BBC online weather says persistently raining tomorrow, yet the local radio are saying we are in for heavy snow

The BBC weather has gone from heavy snow showers all day here, to light snow showers from 9:00 to 12:00 noon, I will gladly accept the latter.

Nightmare journey over. Not a single road gritted  . Went a*se over tit on the ice and snow at the out laws, then couldn't get the car up the hill to park ready for going home. Good old neighbours recued me though. Wish I'd stayed at home. :x

Should have cancelled. Surely they would have understood, if the roads are bad no sense in travelling if it's not urgent :)

Oh yes they do. All wheel drive options. Mine has traction control. Not that I can use it at the moment as it's back at the dealership.

David Attenborough pissing me off tonight. I've enjoyed his latest series but he's using the last episode to preach the climate change agenda again.

Join the club. I've sent our highways dept a pleasant :sarcasm: email asking them in no uncertain terms why none of the roads were gritted Saturday night/Sunday morning.

Most of our highway, and pathways, budget seems to be spent on keeping the route into town clear, from the area where most of the asylum seekers seems to be housed, it's the best maintained part of town and has the best of our limited floral displays.
