Daftland

Unread post by oldbluefox »

We live in a country called Daftland
The England we knew is no more
Where sensible people do ludicrous things
Or risk breaking some Daftland law.

In Daftland we've police dogs with muzzles
Lest the villain has cause to complain
And to steal from a shop and say 'sorry'
Means your free with no stain to your name.

You had better leave lights on in buildings
When you lock up and go home at night
'cause the burglars might hurt themselves entering
And there's no way you'll be in the right.

When speaking be wary in Daftland
As some terms that you've used all your life
Now have connotations unintended
And you'll end up in all sorts of strife.

We elect politicians in Daftland
To give us the laws of the land
Yet eight laws in ten now come from abroad
The whole thing has got out of hand.

The borders are open in Daftland
And of migrants there's no keeping track
Just a few of the thousands illegally here
Will ever be caught and sent back.

The exception to this is the hero
Who fought for this land in the war
He's old and he's sick, he might cost us a bit
So he's not welcome here any more.

When the history is written of Daftland
Historians may just recall
That the craziest people in Daftland
Were the public who put up with it all.

And this is why UKIP is gaining popularity. Hopefully we will see some UKIP MPs in the house of commons after the next election.

I can't help thinking sometimes we are losing the plot. Rights and political correctness have gone mad.

As much as I agree with helping alleviate poverty in the world I also feel we need to sort out our own problems first then we will be in a better position to help others. It annoys me to hear criticism of 'the infidels' or 'the white man' coming in from countries we are spending millions to support, much being siphoned off to support corrupt leaders and regimes. Perhaps we need to focus scarce resources to those areas where it is going to have most impact and those regimes which will appreciate it most.

Mr Fox

An interesting use of words - well done sir . . . .

BUT - we still have a hell of a lot going for us in these beautiful Isles, make no mistake about that
Must dash . . . .
. . . . off out to picked up my copy of "The Big Issue" from the gorgeous dusky brown eyed Romanian young lady, then a big Lidl shop, added, assisted and abetted by the friendly, well mannered hardworking very smart Polish boys and girls

Next a well deserved luncheon at our fabulous village Indiam emporium

Finally, a catch up with the happenings on "The Jeremy Kyle Show"

Life is simple but good in Sunny rural Dorse

Do have a very purposeful day

I think you may have misunderstood.

I have nothing against immigration per se and our land is all the richer in many respects as a consequence of those foreign nationals who have come to our shores. However our country is now basically full - not enough jobs for those living here, not enough houses, congestion on our roads, health and education struggling to meet the demands of multi-culturalism and social deprivation. Essentially we cannot feed and house the rest of the world and whilst it is very nice in our sheltered world to enjoy the fruits of our immigration policies in the past, in many parts of this country they are really struggling.

It is indeed a beautiful land we live in but financially we are broke and if we are to continue sending money abroad we need the resources to be able to do it without detriment to our own nation.

I hope you had a good shop and enjoyed your Big Issue and Indian meal.

Kind regards

we need to sort ourselves out first
we can't keep spending at this rate and giving money away to other countries whilst we sink
too much Political correctness and too many people scared to say enough is enough

we are not the empire anymore, we are a small island nation, struggling to stay afloat

Foxy's OP would be funny if it wasn't painfully true.

As he and DK go on to say, we have got to sort out this country first before turning our eyes abroad to see who else needs help. We are simply not in a position to give aid when the UK is verging on being a basket case itself.

I warmly welcome foreigners from any country who want to settle here and contribute to British society. I have little time for foreigners who settle here but live in their own little enclave and make no effort to integrate, and I have no time for foreigners who come here purely because we have gullible people running the money-tree that used to be our safety-net welfare system set up to care for the indigenous population.

Yes, we have a duty of care towards the genuinely needy, but that does not mean we should roll over and give handouts to all and sundry.

The feckless should be made to work for their food and shelter - that might make them so tired, they wouldn't have the energy to procreate.

Political correctness should be outlawed. Who decided it was an acceptable alternative to good manners, anyway?

I'd better get off my soapbox!

Additional thought from the country bumpkin from rural Dorset :ugeek:

It is my strongly held view

To effect the environment that the honourable members aforesaid crave for

They should exercise their allegiance to the BMP or UKIP parties who would make the desired legislation

Those who support the three major UK parties of this great country of ours are voting for an "as is" government, with slightly different flavours

Am I right or am I right :?: :?:
