Compo advice

Unread post by Mervyn and Trish »

Need advice here. I had a tummy bug, possibly norovirus, last weekend. It's clearly due to the poor standards on one of P&O's third world plague ships. I recognise it's over a year since our last trip but these things do take time to incubate.

So how do I claim compo and how much can I expect?

Dammit where's Cubie when you need his knowledge, experience and complaint letter templates?

There's 10% in it buddy.

How much you expect will have little bearing on how much you get - and my best guess at this moment in time is zilch!!!!

It all goes to show how deep seated these viruses are.

I think a claim for several thousands of pounds is definitely in order, or else a free cruise.

You could threaten to withdraw permission to use "that" photograph if they don't pay up.

P&O refused any compo for missing the Azores on the way back from Charleston on Ventura, the small print said no, so I doubt your historic claim will be honoured.

He's still trying to claim for a broken finger nail so perhaps now is not the best time.

I hope you get your well deserved compo Merv and then hopefully you will remember all those other poor souls who have suffered illness on board a ship (I was sea sick on the last cruise - does that count???).

My gofundMaureensnextcruise will be going public next week. :)
