I love Friday night because....
.. I can enjoy a nice glass of red wine with my lovely husband of 40 years knowing I don't have to get up for work tomorrow

We like most Friday evenings too - except the Fridays Tony is on-call. Not this weekend though, so we can relax and know he doesn't have to go to work until Wednesday.
Enjoy the weekend.
Enjoy the weekend.

Your post has just reminded me of when we did a 3 week tour of New Zealand in 2010 for R's 40th Birthday, there were quite a few couples celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary

We are actually celebrating our 40th in 2016, but we have been together for 40 years + we are so lucky to have wonderful family who keep us very young, only yesterday I was pretending I was ice skating with my granddaughter (6) on their wooden floor... Then we danced together... She laughs and tells me I am silly... She is right.... But why not.. Life is for living and laughing and enjoying

Hi Jenni,
Firstly - great thread.
Secondly, yes indeed, life is for enjoying.
I love Friday night because sometimes I get to see our daughter on a Friday; but otherwise I love Friday night because it marks the end of a 'working' week (but we don't work - so that's daft!), and it means we are getting closer to a cruise.
Silver Shiney liked last night because he's off on a cruise today - hope it's a good one!

When we were working Friday night used to be the night we went for a curry and sorted our lives out
but now it is welcome as the day before ' FootieDay '
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I love Friday night because.....We get two episodes of Corrie and like MoB it's football eve.
Some years ago now I loved Friday night because it used to be darts night, followed by a 'ruby' or a kebab.
