Re: Doing anything on Red Nose Day?
We had a few events at work this week for RND. the first was Wednesday bonus ball. Pay £2 and choose a number 1-49 if your number is the bonus ball for Wednesday night lottery you win half with the other half going to RND. My number didn't win.
Today was dress down pay £1 on the door and wear anything to work. (Within reason)
Cheltenham Gold Cup buy a horse £3 if your horse wins share the winnings with RND. Mine didn't win
cake bake various cakes for sale. I bought my young staff a cake each spent £6.
Football game 50 p a team. Not sure of the return on this.
I don't normally work on a Friday but was short staffed today. It has ending up costing me 12.50 plus went to the pub at lunch time cause it was Friday. Cheaper to stay at home but at least I have a day in hand towards another cruise.

towny44 wrote:Like most of you red nose day is a non event, in fact for me rather an extended BBC bore period. I am unlikely to be out and about today so probably won't have any sort of tin or bucket waved near me.
Towny, I feel the same as you. Very bored with it. I know it's for a good cause, but I support things in my own way. I never watch any of the TV stuff, rather watch something we've recorded.

Dear Forumeers,
It would appear that the apathy illustrated on this thread is not representative of the UK at large because Red Nose Day has so far netted £75 million.
That adds up to a lot of badly needed help for people in crisis in the UK and Africa....and that gives me a warm glow and makes me proud to be British.
Regards
Rob aka AOTH

Iv no idea !!! She was very poorly at the start of her pregnancy and lost a bit weight then.Keechy wrote:Hi Sue,suespud wrote:Ohhh I will keep you posted... or Jo will, if Im busy...lol
DIL is nearly 35 weeks and for twins that is good, last estimate the boy is over 5lbs and the girl is over 4lbs. DIL is tiny and has gained less than a stone in weight.
How on earth has your DIL managed to put on less than a stone? When my OH was having twins, one of each, she was ENORMOUS. She fell off a bus and the conductor had to help her get up - she was rolling about like a space hopperShe gave birth shortly after that and then shrunk back to her normal size. The little ones are now 45 years old.
She has gone really skinny..arms and legs etc we can see she has shrunk !!!
But has a HUGE baby bump... can hardly walk.
She eats very well and has been craving ice cream and lemon meringue pie, so eating lots of it.
She was polishing and cleaning like mad yesterday....im still on stand by !!!!
