New Computer
In anticipation of this evenings lottery win I am researching a new computer. Any advice will be appreciated. I use it for my accounts word precessing and the internet. Also which operating system should I go for, Windows 7 or 8 ?

I am advised that 7 is better than 8. Apparently you can tweak 8 to behave as though it is 7. I just hate any Windows OS.

Re: New Computer
My laptop is used to run our accounts - and the Windows 7 takes the beating it is given very reliably, smoothly and with no problems at all.
See if you can get Office as a freebie with the machine (I desperately loathe and hate Works - so it's Office for me every time).
Then it's down to personal preferences such as screen size, weight, battery life and disc space and speed etc.
Good luck.

Mac Air!! Far superior to any PC. Our son bought it for us for our 50th Anniversary and it is fab. Everything happens instantly , not waiting for it to warm up. Jay

Hi Bob,
Thanks for that, but being a lazy lady I'll stick with the status quo.
