"I think you will find the majority of the UK population disagree with you"

I think you will find that they don't.
We've just had a GE and over 80% of those who could be bothered to vote, voted for a party that supported leaving the EU.
Both had it clearly in their manifesto.
Both clearly had a policy of respecting the result of the referendum.
Which part of that clear policy is hard to understand.

Their only difference is how.

What else would i like to see in my 1950's joy ride.
Well for a start, the UK controlling the UK immigration policy.
Then I'd like to see the UK Supreme Court be actually Supreme.
Then I'd like my country to stop giving away billions and billions every year to other countries.
Then I'd like to see our politicians stop hiding behind the EU veil and be responsible for their own decisions.
Then I'd like to see our leaders concentrating on problems here instead of try to be 'world statesmen'
That'll do for now, but there is so much more we can do when we stop paying out these ridiculous amonts of money every year.

26.7% of the population or 17,410,742 people voted to leave. I fail to see how anyone, except perhaps a Brexiter, with their slim grasp of reality, could feel happy about saying that is a majority of the population.

It is clear that we are not going to get the easiest deal in history, and the sunlit uplands are a fantasy.
The answer is simple https://www.peoples-vote.uk/
Unless of course you are too scared of losing?????

We always could have controlled immigration, other EU states do. It was Theresa May who decided not to.
As long as justice is real justice I don't really care where it comes from.
The aid budget(?) has nothing to do with the EU.

Well you guys are really on form this afternoon.

You want to be poorer with less choice in the supermarkets, anything else you think we should lose on your 1950's fantasy joy ride?

I think you will find the majority of the UK population disagree with you.
The point is Jack that your strapline is untrue

I am very surprised that you voted to be poorer. What does your family think about that? Are they going to support you or are they unhappy about you making them poorer too?

But thank you, maybe it is time for a new one, I'll have a think.

Jack the correct figure is nearer 40% as there were only about 45 million registered voters.

The fact is we had a referendum. Everybody who was eligible to vote had the opportunity to vote for their preferred option. The Leave vote won, the Remain vote lost and no matter which way you try to manipulate the figures, no matter what excuses you come up with the plain fact is you lost the vote, a fact many Remainers struggle to accept. You lost because fewer voters voted to remain than to leave. And that Jack is the plain truth.

Jack, it was you who said
"I think you will find the majority of the UK population disagree with you"
so I am slightly mystified when you go on to say
"I do have a problem with people saying the majority of the population are for Brexit".
Nobody but you mentioned anything about the majority of the population.
Since some did not vote or were not eligible to vote you will never know which way they would have gone. The only result which mattered was the one which was recorded. Brexit or Remain, the rest is pure semantics and supposition no matter which figures are bandied around.

Brexiters like to believe the propaganda that it is the will of the people (the population). It is not.

Just to clarify, this is what I said "The last time we counted the majority voted to leave. Remember?"
The majority did vote to leave but in La La Land Remainers like to cloud the issue with their own interpretation. It was you who brought up the old red herring of "the majority of the population". I think it's called an own goal.

Dear oh dear Jack!!! The vote was the will of the people. Anybody who did not vote either was ineligible, undecided, or not bothered and we will never know how they might have voted. However the fact still remains that fewer votes were cast in favour of remaining in the EU than leaving. Dress it up as you like but that's fact.

The 'majority' can do what they like, it doesn't change the fact that only 26.7% of the population or 17,410,742 people voted to leave, and that is not a majority of the people.

That is living in the past, 2016. I know you wish to take us back further.
