Hi qbman

I can see the headline now...59 year old man found “stiff” on New Street platform.

Please don’t tell my wife I’ve said that

Hi Angela, Hope you and the family are keeping well. SNOW!! we have sunshine here in West Sussex. A little chilly, I am going to wrap up and go for a walk along the beach.
Lucky you Chris. I don't mind a bit of snow in the right season, but I don't like having to still wear my winter coat and boots at the end of March! I'm ready for Spring now :?

Thank you for asking about the family. We are all well. Jonathan had an interview for a job yesterday, so fingers crossd for him. Steph comes home for Easter tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to that. Andrew and I have been perusing the new cruises wondering what to do for our 30th Wedding Anniversary next April!

Enjoy your sunshine, and spare a thought for us in the freezing North xx
Angela

First thing this morning we had a bit of everything in the space of about an hour.....snow, sleet, hail, wind, rain...even the sun poked his head out for a few minutes.....Dry now but flippin' cold.

I have consulted with my seaweed and it says that snow in March histerically ain't unusual....Accodong to records whenever we have had wintry weather at the begininning of Spring we have enjoyed a long hope summer....so don't despair, we (well you, mainly) are just sufferering a little pain before the gain.

Bitterly cold here in Bridlington with strong winds but no snow as yet. It is forecast to be heavy snow over the weekend and next week as well.

We had the first snow of the Winter in October and still having snow near the end of March. Let us hope it does mean that we have a good Summer - when/if it ever arrives.

Just got back in from Birmingham having enjoyed a night at the Opera (Phantom of the Opera).

Snowing heavily there but easing the nearer to home

Fantastic stage musical.

Can't believe this weather...started snowing in Huddersfield sometime between 3 & 5 am YESTERDAY, and is still snowing currently. As far as I'm aware it's been non-stop (except a 10 min spell yesterday lunchtime).

The drifting is amazing... most of the drive is now almost clear, but there is a huge snow-dune almost 3 feet high all down the garden. The wheelie-bin is 2/3 covered!

I'm estimating that there will have been around 8" - 12" in total, but the drifting means it's difficult to be sure.

This is by far the worst we have had this winter (ahem, spring)! :o

My car is going nowhere today...it will stay in the garage.

Wina is also reluctant to walk to Mum's today...though the snow blowing into one's face doesn't look like much fun, to be fair.

Not a drop here although there's a very cold wind. There seems to be plenty in other parts of Cumbria but nothing where we are. We'll have a ride into Keswick this morning so there may be more there.

Mob, we tend to give the woad a miss in the winter and put our spears away confident that bad weather will keep natives from other parts away but the unsuspecting still try to get through.

We had friends come to see us yesterday. When they left Carlisle there was nothing, halfway down the snow was drifting across the road but they ran clear of it as they approached our village. I expect there will be much more in the east and south of the county and especially on the fells and high passes.
