Perfumes and After Shaves
Whilst onboard I always have a good browse through the after shaves and eau de toilettes to see what's on offer. It often means I have two different ones on each arm and sometimes three. It does sometimes get funny looks if anybody sits close but what I do find is that for many of these toiletries they fade and disappear after about half an hour.
When I am paying upwards of £30-£40 for a bottle of fancy liquid I would expect the smell to linger a bit longer than half an hour. In the good old days after shaves not only lasted all night and well into the next day, and they were just cheapo Old Spice and Brut.
Does anybody else feel the same or is it just me?

Re: Perfumes and After Shaves
I have perfumes which I can smell on me a long time after I have sprayed, and others whose smell seems to fade after a short time, so I guess it depends on the brand, what sort of ingredients have been used in the fragrance and whether it is eau de parfum or eau de toilette. I have heard it say that if you can smell perfume on yourself, you have used too much !

I dont like an overpowering smell of aftershave, but love it when I get up close and can smell it on my OH's skin.
Your nostrils will have gotten used to it after a little while, but others will be able to smell it on you.
Clinque Happy aftershave is my fav on my hubby, then Chanel and old fav Farenheight.

Hi OBF
I’m currently into David Beckham
(instinct) which sticks around a bit longer than some I’ve tried in the past.

Re: Perfumes and After Shaves
Perfumes will smell very different once they have "settled" and very often you can't smell them on yourself but others can
unless you opt for something quite strong Angel for Men or Women is one such example.
I always buy my husband eau de toilette rather than after shave ( I think it is a more subtle smell ) my favourites are Chanel Allure Sport and Chanel Bleu both are lovely, he likes A for Men but I think it's a bit heavy.

I have found over the years that foxes can indeed stink to high heaven, hadn't realised that it was their aftershave though

Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Re: Perfumes and After Shaves
At the moment I've got Dior Homme Intense eau de parfum and Prada aftershave which aren't bad although I always wear Foxy Musk when meeting Mobimod as it keeps the bu99er at bay!!
I am making a list of all your recommendations and will try them out on my next cruise. With all those smellies on at least my wife always knows where I am!!

I do find that eau de perfume lasts longer than eau de toilette, and my OH likes Code "Sport" at the moment, while I like White Diamond and Beautiful.

My favourite is Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir Eau de Parfum, it is a light perfume and last for quite a few hours.
My husband likes Givenchy Gentleman and Lynx Africa for daily wear.
