The Scottish Parliament has formally voted in favour of revoking Article 50 and halting Brexit, unless a second referendum on leaving the EU is held.

The Becket one was a close vote, though.

However, yet another impasse.

Didn't Bercow say recently that a vote cannot be brought again unless it's substantially different to the original. I think we may be heading for a GE.

All that seriously remains is the off chance of the EU deal, no deal or revocation. If parliament chooses revocation, God help us.

I'll explain while trying not to be too patronising... dear. ;) The government decided collectively not to pass opinion on the various options. That is because their priority is the Uk/EU agreement. It's not wise to give credence to other options.

Oh enlightened one. Please explain elected government, when we have no such thing.
The conservatives bought their way to power at a cost of £1 billion. Totally wasted as tonight's events have proved.

Even you can understand that the government has been formed by permission of the Queen. Granted they are a minority government but a government nonetheless. And there was me thinking you were some kind of constitutional expert.

Oh Gill, you know and I know the implications of parliament overturning the legitimate referendum result. The far right will have a field day.

‘even me’

You’ve attempted to patronise me before and it didn’t work, and you got told off by Annie.

I’ve noted the ‘friendly’ wave, but that doesn’t excuse being snippy.

Barney, I apologise for post 5622, as, re-reading the thread this morning, it looks as if you were attempting to patronise Jack, and not me.

However, Jack is the second person on this forum you have attempted to patronise - that's not good.
