Solutions?

Unread post by Mervyn and Trish »

Just back from a couple of weeks in Scotland, during which I made a startling observation.

The new in-word is Solutions.

In the space of five minutes I saw two vans, one signwritten "Pipework Solutions" and the other "Catering Solutions". Presumably the first was a plumber, as we used to call them, and the second maybe a pizza delivery van?

Truckers have had it even worse over the years. Once they worked in Road Haulage, then in Logistics and now in Logistics Solutions (or International Logistics Solutions if there is a ferry involved).

So how long before the Hilton Hotel offers Overnight Accommodation Solutions?

And can we look forward to P&O Maritime Leisure Solutions?

Could the edit button on the forum be renamed Spelling Malfunction Solutions?

Any other ideas? Or solutions?

Maybe instead of the reply button in response to queries or looking for advice we could have a Solutions Solutions button.

Can't recall where I saw it, but somewhere I saw a bottle of washing up liquid being referred to as a solution!

This solutionisation of company names has been going on apace for several years now. There was a TV show which used to ask for the most obscure examples people had seen, but I can't remember any at the mo.
