Boris is being charged using an Act that was ' enacted ' in the 13th Century ... allegedly.

ps … some of these Remainers must be really desperate.

Now Bercow says he's staying until Brexit is quashed resolved.

As the Speaker is supposed to be impartial what difference would it make? Oh I forgot this one is anything but impartial, on most issues!

True. But if he gets into the final two the grass roots like him.

On the positive side, at least he won't be there for very long

It's probably not worth unpacking.

If he's not, then the next PM will be Jezzer. Bring on the UK's bankruptcy. He'll do far more damage than even the worst Brexit prediction.

What is the point of T.V. debates between the candidates

Until they are whittled down to two the only ones entitled to vote are the 313 Conservative M.P.s
Irrelevant to the TV viewer what the candidates say because they will never get to choose.

Once it's down to two then again only members of the party can vote so no point wasting broadcasting time trying to influemce milions of others

Broadcasters again bullying people to take part in a pointless exercise.

Did we get a say when Brown replaced Blair. DId anyone get a choice?

Should it be Bojo the clown I would expect PM's questions to be highly entertaining. Albeit for what I would think to be a short tenure. Interestingly the response from joe public with the suggestion of Bojo as PM, was met with laughter last night on question time. My pick of the bunch for the next PM including Corbyn as a choice would be Michael Gove.

Well Barney you have to go with what is available, BTW Farage is below Corbyn on my list.
What would be really interesting would to see Corbyn ditched this summer and replaced with a more centrist leader, but then again so would me winning billions on the lottery and retiring to my own little island in the Caribbean. :)

If and when Corbyn is ditched , I think that the Labour membership will opt for someone even more left wing.

As I've said previously, the days of the traditional two party politics and democracy as we know it, died the day after the Brexit vote. when the losers failed to consent.

It's unlikely that any existing political party could hold a majority, even under the FPTP system.

The new order will be coalitions and lots and lots of elections.

Let's be honest about it, when you look at the choice of the leaders , who inspires you to put your X in the box.

BoJo the clown ?
Jezza the Red ?
Dull as dishwater Vince?
Anna 'pull a face' Soubry?

The only one I've seen with a modicum of warmth and personality is that Scottish lassie Ruth, and unfortunately, she is a Tory, so you get the rest attached.

Mine too.

We do not need the candidates to be selected by the predominately Left wing media, the MPs and the Tory Party Members at the local level will do nicely thank you. They should stick to reporting the facts after the event rather than trying to generate them for their own egos and the brain dead.

Either way we won't bother to watch it

Nor me.

All they'll do is stand there trying to point score by undermining each other. Plus Gove will be high as kite :sarcasm:

As an ex BBC man do you know why they set so much store in having these ridiculous debates, of course not just the Beeb but the rest of the media. Look what happened in the US when the Donald dominated all the debates, next GE the party with an ex TV personality as leader might win. Maybe the Tories missed an opportunity by not selecting Esther Mcvey.

I'll also give it a miss.

I might watch when it's down to the last two, not that our opinion matters.

Anybody on here actually allowed to vote?

I've no idea. Even the general election ones, which make more sense, began after I left.

It seems to be a culture where media performance is more important than actual ability. Maybe they should go the whole hog and run it like The X Factor where the public phone in to vote them off!

On a slightly different point I heard some Labour voters being interviewed yesterday moaning about a new Prime Minister being chosen by the Tory party without a general election. They've clearly forgotten Gordon Brown.
