No vote for me I remain totally non affiliated, but I still have a keen interest in who ends up winning.

We don’t need any debates - just seeing that interview on the BBC last night is enough to indicate that he is not fit for the role as PM. It was pure waffle and flim flam. But we expect that from him.

However, what I thought was more interesting is that he already looks like an empty husk. He had a desperate look in his eyes, which usually takes a couple of years in office as PM to achieve. God knows what state he’d be in by October, if he became PM.

He knows he’s not up to the job and we know he’s not up for the job.

However, what counts is what 160,000 Conservative party members think. I’ve noticed that a couple of them are in this thread. Those of you who can vote - I implore you to save us from Boris Johnson.

However, I think he will still win. The majority of demographic that can vote is older, middle class men - and I think a lot in that group still think of Johnson as ‘good old Boris’. Indeed, the majority demographic on this thread is older middle class men, and there’s very little censure of Johnson.

I'm happy to publicly state that in my humble opinion, he is totally unfit for office.

I agree that he will more than likely win.

I then predict that Labour will call for an immediate vote of no confidence in this government.
Enough Tory MPs will vote with them and a GE will be called.

All parties will have to stand on a very specific stance.
I forecast a Tory win but without an overall majority.
Most anti brexit Tories would prefer brexit to Corbyn and will vote for the Libdems.
Libdems and the Brexit party will pick up enough seats to become a king maker.

I also think Boris will win but agree he is not suitable PM material, however I doubt any Tory MPs will support an early no confidence vote, but they probably will support one if Boris tries to take us out of the EU without any sort of deal.
Unfortunately I disagree with Barney about the outcome of any resultant GE, Labour will win unless the Tories and The Brexit party agree not to contest the same seats, leaving Nigel to fight Labour seats on his own, which probably would be a stitch up too far for the voters anyway.
If we do end up out of the EU and with Corbyn in charge then its downhill to the knackers yard at increasing velocity, and I just hope I am not around as we hit the buffers.

and there lies the problem Screwy we are between a 'brick' and a hard place, I just hope the Labour party wakes up and smells the coffee. A new leader such as Keir Starmer Tom Watson or Yvette Cooper would change the whole dynamic of the Brexit debate.

When Corbyn goes Ray, they will elect someone more hard left.
The MPs no longer get a say.
It's put up or shut up for them.

I agree, there are far worse people out there than Corbyn. I shudder at the thought of John McDonald.

Not widely reported but last week in the Commons a group of Veterens wearing regimental Berets were in the public gallery, Corbyn asked the speaker to have them removed, Bercow refused and Corbyn and Abbott left the chamber, what a thouroughly disgusting pair they are.

I'm really surprised that didn't make the headlines. How dreadful!

My hero Andrew Neil is interviewing both candidates tonight.

That will be interesting because he can be brutal.

I'd wager that Neil knows a lot more about their briefs than they do.

It will be like a blood sport for poor old Boris J. He'll rip his non existent arguments apart

Irrelevant as many have already voted for him.

The following is copied from a report in Kipper Central, which I assume is a right wing website allied to UKIP, so unlikely to be sympathetic to Labour, but does show which way the Labour leadership leans on these sort of issues.

Quite a shocking but given Jeremy Corbyn’s character somewhat unsurprising allegation has emerged. It concerns two veterans who were in the Commons visiting. They were wearing t-shirts and berets supporting Soldier F, the veteran currently facing prosecution over the deaths of James Wray and William McKinney on Bloody Sunday.

Corbyn is said to have asked Speaker John Bercow to remove the veterans and when Bercow refused to he reportedly ‘stormed out of the building’.

It was not widely reported because there is no evidence that it actually happened.

This might fall into the 'fake news' category

Unless of course, you can supply actual evidence screwy.

Because it's on a website doesn't make it true.
I thought we all knew that.

If anyone has any actual evidence and not hearsay, I'll happily concede

Around a year ago I has a minor op to remove a non threatening skin cancer that was nonetheless spoiling my good looks.

As it was done under local anaesthetic I had half an hour chatting to the excellent surgeon (his mum must have done needlework at the WI and taught him all she knew).

He told me that in the almost universal view of himself and his fellow health professionals Jeremy Hunt was the worst Health Secretary, of any party, ever.

I wonder who they'll be voting for, if they're among the eligible.

Health professionals working in the NHS sector generally have left rather than right wing tendencies so would never subscribe to cost cutting nor taking short steps towards greater efficiency nor privatisation … like wot Jeremy Hunt is capable of doing.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Barney an interesting piece in the Times today suggesting that less than 50% had returned their voting papers with many waiting for the Andrew Neil interview. We will be out with friends so I will record it.
