Not surprised coming from the Brussels Broadcasting Corporation. I wonder what their approval rating would be. Could be more people voted for Boris than would say they are satisfied with the Beeb.
What's wrong with the Beeb OBF? I watch both BBC and Sky news and find balanced reporting from both, but then, perhaps I am a simpleton :lolno:
Most of the radio and TV media in the UK is somewhat left wing and seemingly influenced far more by left leaning think tanks than any right wing organisations, we don't have any station equivalent to Fox news in the UK, mind you according to my Canadian BIL that's not such a bad thing.

The media is dominated by urban left wing luvvies so it's only natural that they would have a slight bias.
Overall, our media is not too bad when compared to other progressive countries, like Spain and France.

It's different for the BBC, as it's revenue is collected by form of taxation so should do more to be seen as neutral.
The truth is that they can't help themselves, as anyone who has worked there will tell you.

I fear the Aunty Beebs days are very much numbered in it's current form.
The loss of revenue caused by young people not subscribing will see it's demise as we know it.

Thinking back to yesterday, I didn't watch anything on BBC at all.
I had LBC on during the day, via my Sky box, and in the evening watched the Tour on Itv 4 then a movie on Netflix.

Then bed ......................

Having just listened to Radio 5 live this morning I find it amazing that anyone could say it's balanced reporting. In the past news presenters did not give any personal views or comments - things are very different now.

Just a joke Ray.

It's like when I say to my mates ' now, no one can accuse me of being biased' when discussing football.

A bit of banter does no one any harm.

So in future, if I say in a bantering tone, accompanied by a friendly emoji  that anybody who still thinks Brexit is a good idea must be a barking mad loon, everyone will guffaw approvingly and not get upset, and the comment won’t be deleted?

Couldn’t agree more Carole, Emma Barnett is really starting to get on my Tits along with Bolton on Sky.

You go for it Gill

I can always do with a giggle on a sunny day.

Meanwhile in Brussels, they appoint the German equivalent of Chris 'Failing' Grayling as the head of the commission.

Today Boulton is wearing an utterly daft white suit to report from Downing Street. Ducking down to avoid being in camera shot, he sat on a Mars Bar.

I'm sure Sky could get someone other than Boulton, he murmurs along with his eyes closed, incessently interupts his guests, same as Barnett on the radio.

I think Emily Maitlis and Laura Kuenssberg are excellent at interviewing duplicitous politicians, a difficult task trying to get to the facts and truths.

Andrew Neil has no problem.
He is different class to Madame Interupt.
Laura K is probably a bit too close to be overly objective.
In that documentary, she was flirting outrageously with Johnson at the bar.

Nice array of EU flags as a backdrop to tonight's BBC News Special. Very subtle.

What's the stop brexit man going to do for a living if Johnson is successful?

He is financed by the People's Vote group and has a flat donated by the Pimlico Plumber owner.

He does it as a full time job.

The news presenters get seriously wound up by him outside Parliament.

I was thinking about Brexit as I was doing the ironing this morning as you do, and got to thinking that the architect of Brexit has to be Gordon Brown. If he hadn't set the bar so high when laying out the points we needed to achieve to enable us to join the Euro, or kept changing the goalposts as we got near them, then the 2016 vote could have been so different. Adding in the difficulty of a smooth transition back to Sterling, along with all the other known problems, I think its very likely the vote would have gone the other way.
I never thought I would ever be grateful for anything that Prudence Brown did!!!

I feel sure the sound technicians could blank him out if they wanted.

Any volunteers to stick the clown's megaphone where the sun don't shine and do us all a favour?

‘Glockenspiel Man’ was doing my head in yesterday. That was all you could hear in the background of the Sky News coverage.

Ditto. Haven't a clue what he's playing most of the time, but yesterday, while Sky were doing a serious interview with some politician or other, he cheerily played the Wombles, lol.

Whoever it was on Sky News this morning must have been following the conversation on screen as he was joining in and offering his own opinion on the interview. If he had anything interesting to contribute I feel sure he would have been included in the conversation.
To be honest I cannot understand why the interviews have to be conducted in the open air outside Westminster. It must be a magnet for every headbanger in the land to express his/her opinion.

My same thought this morning while watching BBC breakfast. Why sit outside presenting the news while roasting in the heat when you can be in a nice air conditioned studio.

The staff probably get an outside broadcast bonus that doubles or trebles their pay, Merv will probably be along in a minute to deny it.
