I suppose nobody here believes the suggestions (including from his own sister) that Johnson is desperate for a no deal Brexit to satisfy his currency speculator backers

What about Johnson’s referral to the police watchdog regarding the Jennifer Arcuri allegations? Is that something that is going to be ignored here?

Yes totally agree with you Gill, neither is worthy of comment, but fairly sure the cackling remain herd in parliament will be shouting and finger pointing at Boris next week. They are nothing but a noisy rabble and even if they found a real banana skin no one in their right mind will take any notice of them.

Need to stick with referendum result, democracy rules, if we get a deal all good if we don’t then leave and deal with part two. Ashamed to say I’m so disappointed in all this, majority of mps have let us all down because they want to remain. To abiding by the referendum opens up a whole can of worms.

Bearing in mind Johnson has already been found to have acted unlawfully, who knows what he's capable of.

Hopefully taking us out of the EU with or without a deal. Simple as that.

Agree Foxy, let's just get it done and get out and deal with all the finger pointing later.

Andrew Marr Show this morning interviewing the PM.

One thing that does annoy me with not just Andrew Marr but other presenters is when they don't allow the person being interviewed to answer the question. Yes, I know there time restraints, but then don't ask a question if your not prepared or have time to listen to the answer.

Mind you, saying that, when did a politician ever give a straight answer to anything.

Even more so when the interviewee is not giving the answer that the interviewer would like.

How would remainers feel about another referendum?

The question being
Leave the EU with or without an agreement
Or
Remain in the EU but join fully into the euro, schengen, no rebate, no opt outs
Become a full member of the project, throwing ourselves behind future federalism.

Whaddoyathink?

Naw, take the Politicians out of it. Set up a Royal Commission to impartially look at the facts. Then perhaps we may have the basis for a sensible discussions and decision.

And totally ignore the inconvenient fact of a democratic decision.
That'll go down well Ray.
I fear that we ain't seen nothing yet.

All the hands will be thrown up in horror when it really does kick off.
At least they can't say that no one saw it coming.

No election will be the same again.

Any commission would have to go right back to the beginning - for example, whether or not the referendum was binding.

Your referendum wouldn't work.

You've included two ways of leaving the EU (a deal or a no deal) but only one way of remaining, which so happens to be the most extreme way of remaining

You referendum is heavily weighted towards getting a leave result, so it couldn't be construed as fair.

MPs agreed by an overwhelming majority that they would implement it. Call Me Dave said very clearly it's your decision. We'll abide by it. That feels binding to me.

It might feel binding to you, in a moral sense, but legally it was an advisory referendum.
