Re: Strictly
The spoiler result is not yet in, but the voting on the spoiler site has Alex and Chris at the bottom, however both these dancers seem to have a huge following on the vote that counts, so I predict that Kelvin and Emma will be in the dance off, and poor old Anton will be biting the dust.

Re: Strictly
I thought the dancing was exceptional last night. Best three couples for me Kelvin,Karim and Emma.
What a score for Emma and Anton 39.
I that these three three will sail through.

Re: Strictly
I don't do spoilers but Anton and Emma did well last night and have audience support. I think they'll survive.

Re: Strictly
I can not understand why, if strictly fans do not want to know the result, they go on a web site that gives out a spoiler as to the winner and the turn around and start to moan about it.
Don't go on the web, wait for the results show or is that so hard.

Re: Strictly
I thought the whole show last night was FAB-U-LOUS DARLING with everyone upping they're game. You could see It grated with Craig having to dust off his 10 paddle.
I think it may well be Alex and Geordie boy in the dance off. And I have a feeling Chris will stay in. But then what do I know.

Re: Strictly
That's it then. Goodbye Alex, very dignified, and despite Tess' attempts, no tears. Just Chris and the three stage school graduates left.

Re: Strictly
Not sure I agree with this week's result but it was inevitable when it came down to Shirley's "casting vote"
I have to say that Craig's entrance on Saturday as a "dame" was Spec-tac-u-lar!!!

Re: Strictly
Although I had taken a shine to Alex I do think that her Rumba was a poor effort, whereas Chris's dance whilst not perfect was much better. However unless he avoids the dance off next week I think it will be journeys end for him next Saturday, but I have enjoyed his performances,

Re: Strictly
Alex’s samba was a very good dance, but it certainly showed little resemblance to a samba. Which of course wasn’t really entirely her fault, as it hadn’t been appropriately choreographed.

Re: Strictly
One suspects that if she been partnering Kevin the choreography would have been spot on and they would have stood a better chance in the vote.

Re: Strictly
My prediction was right.
Credit to Bruno for not following the herd for once with his choice of who to keep in.
For someone who is so critical about dance detail it surprised me when Craig chose to keep Alex in, obviously prefers her face to Chris's and wasn't too bothered about the dancing.
I don't think it helped Alex with the outfit she was wearing which looked more suitable for a barn dance than a rhumba.

Judging by the expression on his face I don't think that Chris expected to get through

Re: Strictly
For the couple of episodes that I have watched,I dont think that some of the costumes are as good this year. Although I loved Emma's charleston dress.

Re: Strictly
We're sometimes tempted to blame the choreography too. However, we suspect it is crafted to suit what the celebrity can actually manage. In this case the samba is notoriously difficult so may well have been simplified dramatically, taking it beyond recognition.GillD46 wrote: 02 Dec 2019, 07:32Alex’s samba was a very good dance, but it certainly showed little resemblance to a samba. Re: Strictly
I think that too. I felt (from my limited knowledge) there was actually very little foxtrot in Chris' routine and the rest was padded out by a bit of cowboy dancing and general leaping about with as much gusto and enthusiasm as he could manage.
I also concur with my learned friends that the costumes have been disappointing and not really matched to the dances the celebrities were meant to be doing.

That's probably true too. Among the ballroom dances the foxtrot is the most difficult.

Re: Strictly
Well that was farsical scoring last night. I think the judges were dishing out tens for just turning up.
My guess is Karim and Chris in the dance off with Chris going home.

Re: Strictly
I agree Chris's time is up. Could be anyone's in the final. I'd love Anton and Emma to win but my money would be on Kelvin.
