I do the same Stephen but each time it ends up with the prints going grainy and the only way to get it back is to revert to Epson inks. It's as though it has a mind of it's own.Stephen wrote: 03 Dec 2019, 15:31I've always had Epson printers and they always try the scare mongering trick of 'you are using non genuine ink' and try to get you to fork out for their stuff. I just click continue and away it goes.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 03 Dec 2019, 15:27Just realised lied about the cheapo price. I use IJT direct and they regularly send me half price vouchers, so it's about £12 a set.
My current printer is an SX435W. It says it doesn't recognise the cheapo ink but works anyway. It is getting a bit mechanically cronky now but when it is ready for replacement IJT also do printer deals where you buy several sets of their ink (usually 2-4) and they give you the printer free.

Mine goes grainy after about 5 years and lots of ink changes but by then I've had my money back several times. Of course some copy inks are better than others and I did try some others that weren't as good before I settled on IJT.

As Merv said, some inks are better than others. I'm currently using ink from a company on Amazon called 'Flash of Ink', which are working very well. My be worth giving them a try.

Quite right. You prefer anything with the word 'leather' in it
