Cookie acceptance on IPad
Has anybody else had a problem logging in to the forum on an iPad?
My iPad was running slow so I decided I would give it a good spring clean. Following on from that I tried to log into CC and was presented with a screen saying "Cookie Acceptance Required". That wasn't a problem per se except there was no banner giving me the option to accept cookies. I have had a look through forum rules etc but similarly there is no option there to accept cookies either. Hence I can no longer login to CC on my iPad.
Has anybody else had this problem and if so, how did you resolve it?

Out of interest have you scrolled down to the bottom of the display and pushed the ' delete cookies ' tit … if so what happens ?

I’m replying to this on my iPad - I occasionally have to log in usually after having a clean up and a banner appears across the top of the screen saying I have to accept cookies before using the forum - I click on “I accept” which is on the banner and I’m in.

Re: Cookie acceptance on IPad
Thanks Mob. I have tried that and I have also tried cookie settings on my ipad. If you click on the 'delete cookies' box you get a box saying 'You cannot accept links on this board until you have accepted the Cookie Policy'. You then get a box asking if you want to delete cookies. Pressing 'Yes' and 'No' has the same outcome. Checking through the Cookie Policy there is no area where you can accept cookies and no banner giving that option. Perhaps a warning to everybody else doing a spring clean on ipads.
Btw Watford are doing well. They could be Premier League Champions next year. It's not unknown y'know!!!

Thanks Jan. In the past I have had to login and there is indeed a banner asking me to accept cookies but I'm not getting the banner so therefore I am literally locked out. Thankfully I still have my desktop. Is somebody telling me something?Jan Rosser wrote: 15 Jan 2020, 17:00I’m replying to this on my iPad - I occasionally have to log in usually after having a clean up and a banner appears across the top of the screen saying I have to accept cookies before using the forum - I click on “I accept” which is on the banner and I’m in.

Re: Cookie acceptance on IPad
I bought an Ipad about a year ago and have used it about six times, I reckon.
It's in it'd box in my office.
I find it much easier to use either my iPhone or the desktop PC.

It does appear that you are either an apple approver or an android aficionado.

Like Jan the iPad works fine for me. When I clear Internet history I have always been able to accept the cookies again. Just a thought, but when you select Safari in settings is ‘Block all cookies’ selected.

Thanks David. I have tried again but no joy. I get the login page but the banner to accept cookies is missing.

On an iPad - no idea, but would guess that it will be somewhere within settings.
With a PC it is an option within browser settings (varies a bit by browser)

Re: Cookie acceptance on IPad
Thank you for looking David. Indeed I have tried all the browser settings (in this case Safari) but nothing makes any difference and strangely, it is only CC where I get this problem.
I think I am going to do another clean up of the ipad and hope that if there is something which had been left behind after the last spring clean it will resolve itself. I'll let you know if I'm successful which may be of help to those who use ipads and may come across the same problem.
