Is North Korea something to be worried about?
Is it all political posturing or could we be on the brink of another war?
I think China has a major role to play here in diffusing the situation.

The North Koreans are continually sabre rattling but the big worry is their unpredictability, especially under their new and younger leader. I agree China need to be playing a major role. I expect there is more going on behind the scenes than we, the general public, are aware of, hence the appearance of stealth bombers in the area.
I was taught to be cautious

For me the North Koreans are trying to sound important and to justify spending even more money on their military, albeit at the expense of the population as a whole ... all noise and bluster with a huge dose of ' I wanna be a victim ' mentality.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I am hoping it is all merely sabre rattling. However - I do feel sorry for all the ordinary people out there, what an awful regime to live with.
Whilst we are at it - couldn't somebody get their new leader to have a better hair style?

On a light hearted note, I am waiting for somebody to upload a video to youtube that purports to be Kim Jong Un doing the South Korean 'Gangnam style' dance (?gyration?). The only trouble is, he might have such a sense of humour failure, that things really could get out of hand!

My Guess is that Kim Jong Who is the new kid on the block and is trying to do what all new leaders do when taking over power...they fluff up their feathers trying to make themselves look bigger than they really are. I think he’s full of bullsh*t and knows full well that should he send anything over to South Korea they along with their allies will respond with devastating effect.

We've currently got a part-worldie booked which includes this part of the world - but if this goes on much longer we will amend our arrangements. I can't be doing with looking forward to something which then turns into a worry.

I suspect that by the time your part worldie comes around, things will have either come to a head, or been defused.

Nah, they're nothing to worry about..... England would score a hatful against them.
A friend of mine tweeted to Jeremy Clarkson some quip about North Korea's leader and his silly haircut and implications on a nuclear event....funnily enough that same "gentleman" tweeted an almost exact comment half an hour later! Not a re-tweet though - of course. Guess that's how these celebs get their best material?

If we cancel we'll simply change the reservation and not completely cancel.
However, meanwhile, daughter and son-in-law had a three week holiday in Japan and said that we might have a better holiday if we did Japan simply without the cruise. I don't fancy going without the cruise element, but we'll wait and see. Currently I think I'd prefer to change the reservation than cancel.
