Not that I wish to hasten our Queens passing but if/when Prince Charles succeeds to the throne will he become the most ‘unpopular’ King since Henry V11?.

Well he won’t be getting an invite to our summer garden party that’s for sure

With the fortunes of our Monarchy at an all time low and the memories of what he did to Princess Diana still fresh in peoples minds, I think he should seriously be thinking about abdicating his right to the throne in favour of his Son William...however, if my recent report is correct his faithful wife Catherine might have already decided to join Harry and Megan in Canada which may mean them having to rearrange the seating plan at his inauguration ceremony.

In these ere parts Charles is extremely popular. He was very supportive when we had the fllods and the mad cow epidemic and has been very supportive of the farmers. In fact he often comes up to Cumbria unannnounced and used to stay in a little farmhouse in Borrowdale. (I'm not telling you which in case you decide to stalk him!!)

I think Prince Charles has become much. more popular after being very unpopular in the Diana days. Most people see him for what he is, a very hard working man, and I think he his popularity will continue to increase as he takes on more of the Queen’s duties from next year.

His take on it was that the Prince is nothing like caricatures painted in the media by so called journalists.

He was less popular during the Diana era because the public had been hoodwinked by her devious nature.
