Forecast for us looks like Sunday will have the strongest winds, but still very windy over Monday and Tuesday as well, I really don't like strong winds.

Darzet will be hit Sunday and Monday, winds in the 40+ mph region but peaking at 55 when we're having our Sunday lunch at the pub.

Note to self ... do not park below the roof line.

Hi Mob........and here's something you should take note of......try and park your car away from other cars, my wife went for a Ladies lunch on a very windy day last year and came back with a big dent in the car door. I don't know for sure but l suspect the wind caught hold of the car next to ours while they were opening it.

NO they didn't leave a contact number

Living almost directly on the North Devon coast, 40mph is a common occurrence.
We can actually see the storms blowing in and sometimes have a little fun bet on when it will hit.

We was down in Clovelly a fortnight ago and I looked out to sea and said twenty minutes to get back to the top.
Well, it was fifteen and we got soaked 😂☂️

If you have a garage with space I suggest putting the car in it the night before the storm. Just in case.

It'll take me a week to move all the other old tat out and then I doubt it'll fit. The last car in our garage was Trish's old style Mini and that was pretty tight.

Sat outside on the upstairs terrace in the Boathouse in Instow , overlooking the beach with a pint of Sams Cider and it’s hard to believe that a storm is coming.
It’s been a fab day down here.

Although we’ve been here a few years now, we still pinch ourselves on being so lucky to live in such a beautiful area.

I recall at the end of last summer, we was having a quiet drink up at Woolacombe, overlooking the beach and got chatting to a couple from Luton.

Where are you staying they asked?
We live down here I said with a very smug look.

I would to.

We are back down to East Devon next month for a week for a needed break at our usual holiday rental. We love the place we stay at in the middle of know where overlooking the valley of rolling fields. And like you feel lucky to have found such an idyllic location.
