Labelling oddities & idiocies
We have all heard of cans of tuna that are labelled 'contains fish' or lentil soup that 'may contain traces of seeds', well today I have come across a new one (at least to me). Packets of pork scratchings with a flash across the label proudly announcing "ROAST PORK FLAVOUR".
Really?? I never would have guessed!!
When I then read the small print on the back of the packet, it got worse!
After the list of usual ingredients, Pork Rind, Salt, Flavourings, vegetable oil etc, It says:
"May contain traces of Milk, Egg, Fish, Mustard, Celery" and then adds:
"Although extra care has been taken to remove all bones, some may remain"
If you do find a bone, I presume you are meant to chew it, because it then says:
"Suitable for those with strong healthy teeth"
aaargh!

Just to amuse Hezza - I'd like e-tickets to state - 'may contain nuts'.
