Just had my daily walk and there are more cars on the road than ever before. You can't blame the powers that be when people don't do as they are told. They are just making a bad situation worse.

It's not like that down here in the "valleys" Foxy - I find it quite eerie how quiet my road is and from my back window I have a view towards the bypass and again it is not busy. On my daily walk I see so few people I wonder where they all are - spooky but as it should be

Our ‘main road’ is a B road so is rarely busy anyway.

Mrs B is out at the moment doing the shop , I’ll ask her when she gets in.

Last week it was really quiet but it was noticeably busier today, and we are a small village on the edge of a small town. My brother in law is a lorry driver and he has also noticed more cars about. The trouble is if people are straying from the stay at home rule it means the rest of us will be in lockdown all the longer. My nephew reported this morning that some of his cricket team were going down to do a bit of nets practice. Some people are just not taking this seriously at all....... until it is too late.

Just had an automated call from Sainsburys confirming we've successfully registered as old and/or decrepit.

In other developments with the dog's groomer in lock down we've given the dog a quick amateur haircut today.

When this is over we'll be ready for the traditional sucking in of air through teeth while muttering "blimey which incompetent idiot cut this last time?".

Mind you we have saved £34. Might pop out to the pub tonight. Oh hang on......

Congratulations on being identified as elderly Mervyn !

We've just had my husband''s second over 65's Iceland shopping delivered. This time only 6 out of stock. It's not perfect, but it gets us the basics, and means that I will only have a few items to get in the supermarket.

Which now takes you to an automated process which seems to work. If you have a Nectar Card have it handy.

Any Sainsbury online experts out there, I have a delivery due on Wednesday but starting to plan our next one, as a test I tried to book a slot but the complete schedule says non available, despite us being on their priority list. Is this because I still have an order to deliver, and will slots show up once this has been delivered?

Your basket will be empty but add items to it and then save them but do not go to Checkout. Do this as often as you wish.

If you look at the delivery slots you should note that you have a delivery ' pending ' for Wednesday of ' Week 1 '

They are not presently showing anything for ' Week 2 ' or ' Week 3 '.

You are blocked from making another delivery in the same week and slots will only appear for the following week when that week is imminent. In normal times you can book multiple slots over a three week period.

OK ?
