Phew - what a scorcher!

Unread post by GillD46 »

So hot today have had to change my long sleeve T shirt for a short sleeve one. The sun is blazing down and we've had to wind down the canopies to afford some shade on the deck. The lambs are baaing in the field behind us and it feels like mid summer.

79 degrees in the sun.

I thought it was just us Gill. It's absolutely roasting up here. Am sitting sunbathing in the garden.

Gill I sometimes can't believe we both live in South Wales ;)

You really do have glorious weather down there in the Gower and fantastic views to go with it. It's beautifully sunny up here in the valleys but we still have a cold wind and although it is scorching in the south facing porch (the dog is lying in there enjoying it) there is no way I could sit outside

I hope you continue to enjoy lovely weather  I'm hoping for some sunshine and warmer temperatures when I set off on Thursday to the Med :)

Foxy don't you start too

Sunny and warm here.....if your behind glass. But a cold wind that would make a brass monkey quiver.

The fire is all made up ready for this evening. Hope it warms up soon as we're ruining out of furniture 8-)

You are so lucky to finally have some spring weather. It's still freezing cold here, in east anglia, yes we have some sun so from inside it looks as if its a nice day but when I took the dog for a walk I needed coat, gloves scarf and I was still cold. Hopefully it will warm up some day soon !

wow
and it says it's only 7-9 degrees across the rest of the UK, looks like the Gower , basking in 25 degree heat is the place to be, must be a micro climate

make sure you have sunscreen and an hat on...hotter than the canaries there

On the way back from Sainsbugs at High Noon, under glass, the temperature in the car said " 7 " !

Clapppppping hands  to keep warm and we only have a few logs left and 225 litres of oil ... it'll be a long cold summer I'm thinking.

We've been out and about for the day in Stratford on Avon - and the weather was lovely. Got some good practice shots in with hubby's new camera, and we used up a gift voucher for an afternoon tea - and it was really scrummy!

What a lovely day - even got my watch fixed, so it was a win-win-win day.

We do have a south facing conservatory, but it was about 80 degrees in the GARDEN at about 4.30pm. Yes, it is south facing and very sheltered

It may have looked lovely in NE Derbyshire, but that's all :( The snow has almost disappeared, but it's still so cold.
