Re: Current Affairs
Amazing to see how many people think they could do a better job than the Government.

Re: Current Affairs
After listening to Donald Trump's address to the USA tonight, I'm glad we've got Boris in charge, and that tends to stick in my throat. At least he's not telling the nation that Lupus sufferers are immune to COVID-19 because of the drugs they're taking!screwy wrote: 04 Apr 2020, 12:22Amazing to see how many people think they could do a better job than the Government.![]()

In my view the Scottish Chief Medical Office should be fired immediately. What hope is there for ordinary people complying with guidance when those who help formulate it flaunt it. What an idiot.

Re: Current Affairs
I dont bother with Trump much. He just talks so much rubbish, he is like a Disney caricature of a baddie, but even Disney couldn't in his wildest fantasy conceive any thing so bizarre as that. Boris? Lives in an imaginary world, not quite as dangerous as Trump, but still really weird.bassman67 wrote: 05 Apr 2020, 11:08After listening to Donald Trump's address to the USA tonight, I'm glad we've got Boris in charge, and that tends to stick in my throat. Re: Current Affairs
Looks as though the SNP agreed with you Mervyn. It was a very hypocritical action, I expect the wee hictiemichtie gave her the elbow.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 05 Apr 2020, 12:47In my view the Scottish Chief Medical Office should be fired immediately. I'm glad she's gone. It was a stupid mistake, or arrogance, which undermined her authority. I'm surprised Mrs Krankie didn't show her the door faster.

Don't think she could claim it was a mistake she was one of the spokesmen(womenMervyn and Trish wrote: 06 Apr 2020, 10:20I'm glad she's gone. It was a stupid mistake, or arrogance, which undermined her authority. I'm surprised Mrs Krankie didn't show her the door faster.

Plus, Mrs Kranie was probably a guest at the second home, albeit in disguise as a haggis

These daily briefings and the question and answer sessions are just confirming my long held view that the majority of journalists are not the sharpest pencils in the case.

I do hope he gets better, I've always like Boris and his can do attitude. Very worrying for his partner .
They will be in my thoughts tonight.

Very worrying. He's in the best possible hands. Just hope they're being ultra cautious. Sadly some of the internet trolls are celebrating. How low can they sink?

Re: Current Affairs
The trouble is there are nasty people everywhere and pseudonyms give them anonymity. They are often weak and it makes them feel big. I doubt it is just a precaution though dont you? I think he is really sick, he hasn't looked right for several days. We can only hope that he makes a recovery.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 06 Apr 2020, 21:16Very worrying. He's in the best possible hands. Re: Current Affairs
On a human level, I hope he gets through this.
This might be a wake up call for those who still think this is ‘just flu’. I reckon there’ll be a lot less people ‘sunbathing’ next weekend.
