Mrs S did bake some very nice puff pastry, cheese, onion and potatoe sausage rolls (without the sausage) a couple of days ago. Highly recommend, hot or cold.

I just send the staff at 7am when shopping is required. Although stocks are pretty good at the moment.

Re: Coronavirus - Self isolation - Tips
Yes we were told by e mail from Sainsburys (seems our local council had us on some kind of vulnerable list) that because Sue is recovering from chemo we qualify for priority delivery slots. They have been brilliant so far, I'm afraid Waitrose's attitude has cost them our future business.Whynd1 wrote: 06 Apr 2020, 11:27I started having home delivery about 10 years ago when I was recovering from chemo.
There were more in the household then. I found it so useful that I kept it going and we usually have one a week with Sainsburys.

Thank you very much Stephen, she says that's very kind of you.
She has hardly changed in 58 years. Still a little girl at heart.

Come on then … don't keep us in the darkMervyn and Trish wrote: 06 Apr 2020, 13:17Anyway the big news is we've successfully updated our order and remembered to checkout again this morning without losing our delivery slot. So let's see what happens when it is delivered tomorrow and then see if we can get a slot for next week.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

At least my father did not have any substitutions. I notice it says that are not taking any subs back if you dont like them.

Re: Coronavirus - Self isolation - Tips
We thought we would be fine playing tennis - singles ( both living in the same house), using our own balls, latex glove on the left hand etc. LTA suggested it was a good way to exercise and maintain social distancing. Soon after the rules changed and the tennis club announced its closure for the duration.
A few days later Wimbledon was cancelled (no real surprise) so no trek down south for a few days this summer.
As a coping strategy we have enhanced our daily walks or cycles with kitchen worktop table tennis. (in this year’s draw we have; A Murray, Dustin Brown, J Murray, G Ivanisovic, Sue Barker, N Djokovic, B Borg and S Halep. A Murray has reached the final and the second semi Borg v Halep) takes place this afternoon. The Wimbledon theme music ( the old version) is on Spotify repeat and whilst Pimm’s is not available other tinctures have been substituted (Sainsbury’s home delivery style.)
It’s actually been good fun ( at least it has been since we dug out a couple of decent quality ping pong balls.)
Not sure what to do after tomorrow’s final. I can’t see SWMBO being too enamoured with Howzat! and a virtual Test Match series.

Good idea. I'll fire up Trish's Fiat 500. Would a two pit stop or one pit stop strategy work best do you think?Manoverboard wrote: 08 Apr 2020, 12:05If you have a wrap around garden you could mark out a Grand Prix circuit … yes / no ?

Good news. Round one of qualifying complete and I'm in pole position. I managed a lap in 1 minute 48 seconds. Tomorrow I'm going to try it in the car.

I only made the track round the walled kitchen garden. Didn't want to mess up the orchard, the arboretum or the deer park.
