Well done that man …. :clap:

For completeness it is certainly delivery of orders over £100 that are free but there are restrictions like only on certain days and only during the afternoon slots post 14:00 hrs. ( unless they have changed the rules again :oops: )
Nope they must be the,same, my order was over £100 but it was morning and I was charged £1.
However I still cannot find a free delivery slot for the next order maybe Merv could advise what magic he used to get one.
Sainsbugs publish the following on their Website ….

Delivery Charges

•Orders under £40 will be charged £7 for standard delivery
•Orders over £40 will vary between 50p-£7
•There is no delivery charge for orders over £100 booked for delivery on Monday - Thursday after 2pm, once you have selected your time slot on your summary page it will confirm free delivery.

•Minimum order value £25

•The delivery charge will be confirmed when you place your order.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would add ….
The actual amount paid for delivery will be on the receipt. :wave:
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
Keep checking back every hour. Seems to be random when they appear.
I was wondering the same thing, so many thanks. My daughter (staying with me at the moment) is high risk, has one of the NHS "sheltered" letters, and had an email from Sainsbury's about priority deliveries, but still cannot get a slot. I'm low risk and would be happy to go out were she not living here at the moment, but not prepared to put her at risk. We'll try your very helpful tip. :)
Of course it may also depend where you live as I think the deliveries operate from local stores. So some may have more vans and drivers than others.
Annie is your daughter signing on with her own PC? At 0900 today I tried to get a delivery slot using my tower PC and there was nothing in the next 3 weeks. I logged on later at about 1530 selecting a slot as soon as I logged on usng my tablet, and was offered 1630 tomorrow.
If you have a letter then you will get a slot. I’m not sure how you find the time of your first slot ( I discovered mine at about 11.45 on a Tuesday evening.- just going to bed & thought I’d give it a try.) This is the point; My booking time is late Tuesday. The slots will open again for me (at least they did second week) on the following Tuesday. You only get a chance of one delivery per week. It’s the booking date (or date session ie pm etc. ) that comes around weekly it isn’t related to the delivery date.
It’s the Sainsbury’s account that is recognised & drives the timings.
Interesting point …
We have four Sainsbury stores that are closer to us than the Store that the Online shopping comes from :o .
In our case they deliver from Weymouth which is approx 80 miles round trip, which is why I do not concern myself about delivery charges as the petrol costs would be far greater. Using this store also gives us a far greater range than the local one at Sherborne. Check your receipt and it will contain the name and telephone number for your delivery store, maybe yours will be from Macc rather than say Stoke.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
I have power washed all the patio and the slabs down in our lower garden, goodness it was hard work. Packed some that were wobbly and then we cleaned the fish pond.
Quiet day today hopefully. Actually feeling a bit blue as should have been on the Aurora tomorrow with friends.
Hoping my Sainsburys order will arrive in the morning.
Our receipt has an 0800 number and a London address! But the Leek store is a mile from our front door and has delivery vans lined up at the side loading bays so I'm pretty confident that's where the delivery comes from. It's a big store too.
Our local Tesco have shopping down to a fine art. You queue at a distance measured out and are called in when appropriate.
The inside has barriers to make you follow a specific route and again wait to be called for a till point, one at a time.
Shopping certainly takes longer but I have time in abundance.
I’d be delighted if it stayed this pleasant afterwards.
Oh , and not a single item out of stock.
All in all, a remarkably pleasurable experience
So do ours - but why do so many have to disregard the direction arrows on the floor (and may of them are staff)?
Probably easiest to open an incognito tab: Ctrl-Shift-N (Windows) or Command-Shift-N (macOS).
To clear cookies for one site:
1. Click Chrome menu on browser toolbar.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click Show advance settings.
4. Click Content settings in Privacy section.
5. In Cookies section, select the site that issued the cookie, then the cookie, and click Remove.
