I did mislead a tad......I have Sky and of cause Sky Sports but my provider is Virgin Media who also provide my land line, my mobile and my broadband. I pay Virgin Media about £60.00 per month depending on phone calls for the entire package...Exactly how that bill is broken down I don't know.

For me Sky actually saves me money because it keeps me at home, I don't want to go out, not any more, apart from going to the Palace of course the odd non League game and the occasional odd night out. Before I had Sky I used to go out 4 or 5 times a week to the pub or pictures or the theatre and other places...Now I probably go out 4 or 5 times a month and I have given up my membership at the Oval as well so that saves me a fortune...more than enough enough cricket on the box in the summer (weather permitting).

And MoB something to consider for next season if Watford make it to the 'promised land'....If you go to watch the 'Ornets play live, then your ticket for one single Premier League match will cost you in the region of £60.00....Nuff said.....Good luck.

While Rangers' finances are also pretty dire at present - it wasn't them.

I tried to give a clue by saying he wasn't wearing a blue shirt, which he would have been if he been playing for them, as there was no clash of colours between the teams. The team was Dunfermline Athletic, and the ground was East End Park.
If memory serves, a boy's ticket was something like 2 bob (10p to you youngsters) at the time.

(From Wikipaedia)
. Dunfermline signed him the following summer (1964), and Ferguson became a full-time professional footballer.
The following season (1964–65), Dunfermline were strong challengers for the Scottish League and reached the Scottish Cup Final, but Ferguson was dropped for the final after a poor performance in a league game against St. Johnstone. Dunfermline lost the final 3–2 to Celtic, then failed to win the League by one point. The 1965–66 season saw Ferguson notch up 45 goals in 51 games for Dunfermline. Along with Joe McBride of Celtic, he was the top goalscorer in the Scottish League with 31 goals

You are quietly building a good, young team. I like the looks of young Connor Salmon(?). He played well in both games against us and looks a good prospect if you can hold onto him.

I always say 'Be careful who you upset on the way up, you may meet them on the way down'. Am now wondering if I upset anybody, except Mob!!

Young Clough is doing well building a new squad, they are not ready for the premiership, yet
the biggest issue is holding on to the talent, if bigger clubs wave the cheque book

It seems ironic that he played at West Ham all those years and managed Swindon and nothing was said. Suddenly it's a major issue. Mountains and molehills.

Mr OBF

Spot on

Quite a quirky sort of chap at times

But a great credit to his chosen profession both at West Ham and Swindon

Slightly sadden by the (temporary) demise of Martin O'Neill

I'll always remember the time he was presented with a goal scoring opportunity when one of the opposition had gone down injured and he caught the ball so they could get attention. That seems to have been conveniently forgotten. No doubt there are many other fascists, BNP supporters, racists, homophobics etc who keep their opinions to themselves. Should we be weeding them out too. Sometimes these things get out of hand. Is the saying 'Judge as you would wish to be judged'?

Those at Leicester will always have a soft spot for Martin O'Neill. In the 90s under his leadership we went to Wembley more often than Man United and had our best spell of success. Unfortunately that alerted Celtic to his talents and we lost him. However I don't think he has been as effective without John Robertson as his right hand man.

I think Leeds would suit him down to the ground.

Unfortunately that's what you get when populist politicians get involved with football clubs. :(

We kick-off any minute now away to Bolton - having slipped (by virtue of a bl**dy awful GD) into the bottom 3 yesterday. Unfortunately Bolton have been the form team over the past month or so... :(

Need to get something from this game..

WHY

I applied for two tickets to attend a football match at a North London venue

The tickets attracted a service charge of £7.50 each on top of the mega ticket price

Sorry but has the Football scene gone completely mad

Football are simply catching up with ticketing arrangements for other entertainment types. We got copped for a service charge (+postage I think) when we went to Wembley last May. :(

The way we're playing we'll soon be joining you. Since January we have gone belly up and had it not been for our form early season we would have been down there with you. There's a chart somewhere which shows we have the worst points record since January of all in the division. Don't forget we gifted you 3 points at the King Power (true we have gifted all the bottom teams at least 3 points!!) and we have loaned you two of our star players!!

PS We don't want them back!!

Here's the chart. Impressive eh?

Top or bottom the disappointment of losing is the same.

The disappointment of dropping towards relegation or making it into the playoffs is something totally different.
