Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
I was going to post Ceuta but the photo was too big, and I can't be doing with all this faffing around resizing. Now there's a good lock-down job for David, install an auto resizing facility so we computer nerds turds don't have to.

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
You can upload as large a photo as you want - if you are prepared to pay the extra storage costs
Alternatively try this https://resizeimage.net/ two clicks and you pic is resized
That all depends on what copyright the pic has. Should be no problem if it is accreditedManoverboard wrote: 23 Apr 2020, 09:46.... and he could also clarify if using pics from the Net is allowed due to potential copyright issues![]()

Assuming you're using a PC rather than an ipad or tablet you go into Full editor and then you can attach photosManoverboard wrote: 23 Apr 2020, 14:31I found some pics on a CD for San Remo and / or Ravenna ... resized and saved ok but cannot get them onto here![]()

I expected it to work using IMG but that seems to require a URL origin, the FAQs state ....
" You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) " ?
ps .... I am indeed using a PC

Re: Coronavirus Virtual Cruise
Final attempt then I will just read the Topic
The original photo was on a CD, it was copied to my brand new and sparkling ' Allatc ' folder.
Right clicked and selected ' Edit ' .... uses Paint with a re-size option ( much easier way of doing it I thought ).
Selected Send to an e-mail recipient but although it works the size cannot be lower than 640 x 480 - ish.

Why are you sending it to an email recipient.Manoverboard wrote: 23 Apr 2020, 16:14Selected Send to an e-mail recipient but although it works the size cannot be lower than 640 x 480 - ish.
When posting at the bottom it says "Attachments", click on this, then "Add files", select the file that you want, click "Place inline then "Submit" - like so

Re: How To Post a Pic on this Site
I use a free picture resizer to reduce the image to 400x400 and save it (usually to Desktop so I know where it is).
Then I go to Full Editor & Preview.............Attachments...........Add files and so on just as David describes.

Looking forward to your first photo. It's like riding a bike. Once you can do it you wonder why you never did it before.Happydays wrote: 23 Apr 2020, 22:53I'm learning something new, I've never been able to attach photos

I tried to do so because of the word ' attachment ', I simply hadn't noticed the tab ' attachment ' on this site.david63 wrote: 23 Apr 2020, 21:55Why are you sending it to an email recipient.Manoverboard wrote: 23 Apr 2020, 16:14Selected Send to an e-mail recipient but although it works the size cannot be lower than 640 x 480 - ish.

Re: How To Post a Pic on this Site
Listen smart a*se it was your idea to resize it to 100 x 100, if I amend it to 640 x 480 or whatever you'll be bumbling on about storage or some such.
ps ... I will therefore re-size as instructed and try again
