We have his brothers on our tip patrol, but don't you find his answer always makes you feel you should have known where to put it, without disturbing him reading the racing pages.

I cleared out a cupboard in the kitchen yesterday - you know the one where you store all those things you rarely use and shove things into because you don't know where else to put them Had a fun time discovering I had two coffee machines, a steamer and a box of Tupperware plus a George Foreman grill which haven't seen the light of day for over 10 years. Needless to say my bins will be heavier this week but oh the sense of achievement

I've only put recyclable stuff in the bins Frank and that's limited - the rest will have to wait until the local council recycling centre opens. Can you imagine the queues when they reopen

Our next door neighbour has a large green garden rubbish bin which is emptied weekly. She has kindly lets us use any unused space fro our garden waste.

I just tip her stuff out if there's not enough room for ours

We've ordered the £35 food box from M&S, due to be delievered on Thursday. We've been missing our M&S treats, so we thought the box would be a nice thing to have.

Our box was delivered today. It's not something that would feed a family for a week, but there's some nice bits and pieces in there which will make pleasant change.

Gill would have done far more research than me but the M&S website shows fixed Food Boxes. They look good but they do not deliver nor allow pick up by car at the nearest one to us as far as I can tell.

She is, most of the time. I read a couple of days ago, that a woman speaks on average 20,000 words a day, compared to 7,000 for a man. It did not go down well.

I can vouch for that and they have an uncanny knack to know when you are pretending to listen but are focused on something totally different!!! But I can't believe that about Sue.

Actually OBFone of my frequently used expressions is " could we get to the point?" But if Sue thinks I am not listening she will throw in a casual line such as " the post lady's got a bikini on". Sue is a descendent of one of the prominent suffragettes, Millicent Garrett Fawcett sister of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, who was married to one of the founders of P&O. When Sue discovered that she said to me "now you know why I'm so bolshy". Lovely girl, never a dull moment with her.

Our dog was taken poorly last night and needed to see the out of hours vet so very early this morning we rang to see how things would be conducted. We were asked to be in the car park for 10.30am and to phone the out of hours number to let them know we had arrived. The vet came out and took Barney off, the main entrance is all barricaded off no one is allowed inside. Anyway all sorted painkiller.and antibiotics prescribed. The bill be will posted out and we have to go back later in the same week for the same procedure.

The poor animals dont know its covid 19 or bank holiday Sunday. £192.00 Out of hours fee to see the vet.
Hopefully we will ne able to claim so e back from the let insurance. The bet said they had been very busy all moy with emergencies.

I would be asking for a breakdown of your vet’s fee’s…Vet consultation = ££40 Antibiotics = £30 One week’s pain killers = £ 20 max
Out of hours = £102 excessive.

If Barney needs long term pain medication ask for a prescription and buy it online.
