I find the resizing that is needed to post a pic on here much easier to do on the PC. it's a bit fiddly on the iPad.
However, in general, its great to have photos on my iPad, as I look at them a lot more than I do on the PC. If anyone puts a lot of photos on an Apple device they'll need to check their iCloud storage, as Apple only give you 5GB for free. I've upgraded to 50GB at a cost of £0.79 a month.

I pay the 79p per month too, which is a great price I think.

Would you care to spell it out at the basic level so that those with iPads can post their pictures ?Gill W wrote: 27 Apr 2020, 16:29Just a note about iPads.

To be honest, on the iPad I got as far as adding the photo as an attachment, but the file was too big.oldbluefox wrote: 27 Apr 2020, 17:48...... and perhaps add it to the Hints & Tips thread on posting photos.Manoverboard wrote: 27 Apr 2020, 16:56Would you care to spell it out at the basic level so that those with iPads can post their pictures ?Gill W wrote: 27 Apr 2020, 16:29Just a note about iPads.

As I keep my photos on the PC as well, I switched to the PC to do the resizing on the web site that was mentioned, as it was just easier to do on the PC
As far as I can see, people wanting to use their ipad can follow the instructions that have been given for the PC - it's just my opinion that it looks more fiddly, to find the photos you want on the ipad , then to open another browser window for the resizing and a small touch screen for the typing.

I don't know anything about using an iPad but I do know that Mobietta can, using a Galaxy Tablet, send me a pic as an attachment on an e-mail at a size of 640 x 480-ish which is perfect for this exercise but only applies if one has a PC as well.
So ...
There must be somebody out there who knows how to post a pic from an iPad .... HELLO

Re: How To Post a Pic on this Site
Just one tip I've just found by experience. I tried to load a photo and it didn't and there was a little warning icon to the right. When I clicked it said something like "site quota reached". If that happens to you in the current posting flurry, if you go to your user control panel, by clicking on your photo top right, and you'll see a "manage attachments" option. That showed I had 150, which is presumably the limit. So I deleted loads of old ones (they're marked with dates) from there and all is well again.

That what I did, but the photo was too big. I felt it was easier to resize the pic on the PC.Stephen wrote: 01 May 2020, 16:17How to post a pic from an iPad

Don't know how to resize on the iPad. Never had to.
Any resizing I do is on the PC using either 'Paint' which is part of Windows or 'Paint Shop Pro' which I purchased.
Make sure it is a JPEG image, or when you resize it 'SAVE IT AS' a JPEG image as this can often make the difference it you can post it or not.
