I watched Mount Etna for a while. Didn't like the look of Mexico City - definitely a pollution problem there. We used to enjoy watching the camera which was focused on the airport runway at Maho Beach on St Martin in the Caribbean. It was great for watching the large planes take off and see the crowds clinging to the perimeter fence as the draught from the plane engines taking off nearly blew the people off their feet.

Yes that was a good camera, but was destroyed during the hurricane and never replaced.

We too enjoyed the web cam for Maho Beach before it was destroyed. I still look at the web cams for St Marteen every day. So sad to see it deserted and how we long to know when we can once again enjoy this our favourite place in the world. I can see the very spot where we have our loungers and imagine our ice bucket of Beer with the waves lapping at the foot of our sun beds!

You lucky things. We visited St Martin several times and always said we must do a trip to Maho beach. Unfortunately, on the day we were due to go, my husband was taken ill, so it was not to be. We can't get worldwide insurance for him now so our chance has gone. Hopefully you will be able to go back soon.

Maureen.

Thanks Maureen. So sorry that you cannot visit this destination again. As it stands at the moment none of us know if we will get there again but we are glad we grabbed our chances whilst they were there.Take care!

Ten weeks ago we were enjoying the sea and sand on St Martin, after which the ports in the Caribbean all started to close down.
Not so distant very good memories.

Blackpool doesn’t appear to have seen any improvement on yesterday.

David…. not sure if this is possible or allowed but I think this site deserves a permanent place on your website as its nice to drop in and out from time to time without having to bump it up or loose it down the listings …what do you think?

It can be done with a ' Sticky Tab ' ... but

' Distant Memories ' this week then it'll be ' Chickens Weekly ' the next and so on ... sounds dodgy to me
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
