I spent many a enjoyable hours playing marbles when I was a kid, certain marbles had different swap values depending on size and colour. We used to heel a hole in the grass and flick the marbles in with our finger.

I was never very good at playing “Jacks” but that was another game that was popular.

Actually I did albeit not so many now cos most of them were older than me and have, sadly, perished these past few years.

Cheating was par for the course “ Win at all costs and sod the Chicken “ was our motto :thumbup:
