Dentists say they aren’t ready for opening on Monday, No ppe, cleaning products, What the hell have they been doing for the last 3 months.?
Cleaning their teeth ?
There's been one of those little feel good inserts on TV about the wonderful things people have been doing during lockdown. One was a dentist who'd donated PPE to the NHS. I wondered at the time whether they'd thought it through!

Well you certainly don’t find many jobs that pay you for sitting on your backside while waiting for the work to come in?
There were and still are far too many layabouts who do absolutely sod all for the money they receive on Benefits.

The ' Trackers and Tracers ' are dependant on info received and I am very happy to have them paid even if they are presently on ' stand by '. The system was set up for an unknown number and it's better to have too many than too few, imo.
.
Mob/Foxy/Towny

And there was me thinking all three of you would be singing my praises :) having predicted what would happen 3 months ago with this shambles of track and trace.

I’m not going to waste my time going over what I have previously written on this issue but please do take the time yourselves and see if everything I have written hasn’t come to fruition… and yet here we still are three months on having changed the saddle mid race we’re still trying to get the donkey to run better.

We need to stop making excuses and face up to the fact that this track and trace has been mishandled from the start.

And all the experts agreed that track and trace would be impossible with the numbers of new cases we had once the outbreak escalated in March. But now with lower new cases and more testing capacity it is now viable.

It did indeed Foxy…but they are young and inexperienced not like the scrambled eggs who are supposed to know what they are doing. They can’t afford to have anymore egg on their faces because they are starting to leave people thinking this is a poached-up idea with no sunny side up.

Reports now coming through of gates left open leaving farmers with hours of work sorting their sheep out again, gates and fences broken, walls damaged, litter, fires from discarded barbecues and human waste. Roads have been blocked as people park in passing places leaving nowhere for cas to pass by each other. It saddens and annoys me that people have such disregard for the country.
With a bit of luck it will rain this weekend and keep the morons away.

The Government would have known full well that many younger persons aren’t going to restrict themself like the vulnerable do, they also know that they can do nothing about it without risking serious conflict with the Police. They had to trust good judgement and these idiots haven’t got any of that not do they believe they should take any responsibility for their own actions ... far too easy to blame the Government for anything and everything me thinks.

I suspect that it probably wasn't a complete miscalculation at all but was "expected behaviour" - perhaps the extent may have been miscalculated, one way or the other, but who knows? You have to remember that part of the SAGE team comprises of behavioural phycologists who would have advised the Government that this would happen.

The only other option would be to have a total lockdown with nobody allowed out for any reason and that would never have worked either for multiple reasons.

No one knew how the young would react at the start of this pandemic, least of all the Government because at the time there was no clear picture of who were more susceptible to the infection. The Government have been wishy washy on many of their decisions....keep making those masks

Not wishing to blow my own trumpet ( well not to loudly  ) SAGE should have contacted me for advice as l seem to be more in touch with the mind sets of those they are supposed to be advising on......givus a job!

The actions of the young are entirely predictable, albeit not the exact numbers but certainly by location, and the extent to which they were vulnerable would also be known based on the experience in China and elsewhere.

A few £100 fines for anyone out without a good excuse would have sorted the cocky little b****rs out!!! Just saying. I don't go along with this "policing by consent" lark. By comparison with other countries we have been far too accommodating in case we upset one lot or another.

Just seen a Video of British Armed Police officers crossing a road, a woman says 'Black lives matter.' an officer says' all lives matter' the woman replies 'No Sir, Black lives matter.' so there you have it.

Just look at the news pictures coming in from Central London of the mass protest, thousands, all close together like the old days.
