I can remember attending a lecture about DNA many years ago when I worked at 140 and we thought it was the stuff of science fiction.
I can recall a colleague saying that if what they were saying was true, it would eliminate crime and terrorism.

That clearly didn’t turn out to be the case, did it?
Sadly at times I think the human rights of the perpetrators are considered more important than those of the victims :(

I still do, always have and always will. I have no idea what the 'uproar' was about.

Now unlike some, I quite like Matt Hancock.

I have one question....has he only got one tie.? Or has he got lots of the same colour.?

We ask the same question every time he rolls up to appear on Hancock's Half Hour. I suppose it detracts attention from his rather hopeless demeanour.

I noticed Jenny Harries was back from serving time at the gulag. If Hancock has only one tie, I’m convinced she’s only got one dress. She always seems to wear that green dress.

(No sign of Van Tam, he must be considered beyond redemption at the reprogramming centre! )

IMO this is due to the specialist legal aid law firms that have sprung up to take advantage of all these human rights laws. If law firms had a limit on the number of legal aid cases they could handle, this should dilute the gravy train and only genuine cases would proceed.

We made similar comments and also counted how many times he chucked Jenny Harries under a bus - we made it six. We may not agree on the 'B' word, but we seem to have similar views on some other things.

You may enjoy this from Rod Liddle in yesterday's Sunday Times: https://www.thetimes.co.uk/past-six-day ... -p3x8px2ts

I like Rod Liddle, but realise we may not agree on him :)

After watching tonight’s news, can we all agree that lockdown is over.
Teachers and students outside a school?
Friends outside a pub?
Not a sign of social distancing.
Let’s just get on with life?

You keep on saying lockdown is over, and maybe it is for some people

But others aren’t in such a rush to hurry out. Everyone is doing their own thing, and deciding for themselves.

By supporting Cummings, the government lost the moral authority to tell us what we should be doing.

I’ll make my own decision about when it’s safe to go out more, as I feel I can’t rely on the government , but I won’t criticise anybody who feels differently to me

After all the crowds on the beaches a few weeks ago and the mass protests of late, the awaited spike in cases never materialized. Maybe the government and scientists may have factored this in the reach what Boris may say at 12.30 today.
