At the garden centre yesterday, we had coffee, and a huge amount of tables had been removed for adequate social distancing.
We had our first socially distanced coffee yesterday at one of our favourite restaurants and they'd done the same. We opted for a semi open air courtyard area but both there and inside it felt comfortable and safe. To the owner's credit they'd not wasted lockdown. They'd got on and done some refurbishment that would have been very difficult with the place open.

Encouragingly even on market day, normally very busy in our little town, people were being sensible and it wasn't bonkers.
We sat inside, but near an open door so there was a good flow of air.

It is very encouraging to go out and see that people are being sensible..

For our next venture, we may go to the local shopping centre on Monday. M&S Sparks have given me £25 in vouchers, so I want to have a look round. We'd go early, so hopefully it will be quiet
This has been my experience Gill. Really quite busy in Ludlow this morning with people acting responsibly.

I don’t know if you know Ludlow but the council have made the narrow one-way system (road leading to the Castle/Market) a pedestrian only walk way…Fri/Sat only…. good move as social wouldn’t be possible if cars were allowed through.

Unfortunately not - my only trips to Shropshire were to the Telford area, to see my husband's aunt - the last time was over 30 years ago.

If anybody fancies a cruise in August, Aida are doing some short cruises to nowhere.

It will be interesting to see how those pan out - there seems to be a lot of mask wearing involved, and you have to prebook all your tables for meals on the app, prior to the cruise.

My German is limited to what I picked up from WW2 films. So Englander Schweinhund is pretty much it.

Exactly and I've even forgotten how to do that ' smart ' salute of theirs ... if that Aldi Cruises lot were any good at all there would be a Language Link on their Website for all the main Counties like the UK, Turkey and Romania etc.

I've looked on my "WW2 German for Beginners" App.

"Aldi" translates as "P&O mit Sauerkraut"
