So those who "had" to go on holiday the minute that restrictions were lifted are not happy that they will to have 14 days quarantine upon their return to the UK because Spain has peaks of new infections. Which bit of "live will not return to normal for a long time" did they miss? This is likely to be the new normal for the foreseeable future.

The part of this that amuses me is those saying that it should have been announced the previous day so that they would not have travelled - and what about those who travelled the previous day, should it have been announced the day prior to that?

They should all be tagged on their return to ensure they all abide to the 14-day quarantine period.

If they were stupid enough to go in the first place, they will more than likely be stupid enough to breach the quarantine restrictions.

And if the Government is stupid enough to let this nonsense continue then they also need a good kick up the ar*e

In one ' Report ' it says that one of them is very concerned they cannot return to work, it also says that she is a teacher.

So the critics are moaning the government has acted too fast and should have given more notice. The same critics who say they acted too slowly on lockdown. What's better? A few 10's of thousands of people quarantined for 14 days or the whole country back in lockdown with cases here rising?

Give me strength

Get a grip Moby. You know it's not safe to go back to school. Not as safe as flying to Benidorm anyway.

Ah but teachers now have to start to get ready for when their pupils return in September - Oh silly me they have had four months to do that :moresarcasm:

Sorrrrie .... I was ok that she fancied a fortnight in the sun with her boy friend but amazed that she seemed unconcerned about passing the virus to her pupils, their parents or her school colleagues.

It seems we have been calling the wrong people ‘ idiots ‘.

A BBC reporter on the news this morning, holidaying in Lanzarote, said there were a lot of Spaniards there, mostly from Barcelona area. Isn't that one of the Hot spots.?

Just read of a couple who do not think that they should be quarantined as they have "followed all the precautions" whilst in Spain.

In Barcelona and surrounding areas in Spain's Catalonia region, some 3 million residents are being urged to stay home to curb a major coronavirus outbreak. Almost 3,000 new infections were found over the weekend.

This situation is what everyone has got to get used to. Restrictions will be imposed, often at short notice, both overseas and in this country. It's the new normal, and life will be like this for quite come time to come. People will moan, because that's what people do, but we've got to live with it for the foreseeable.

Some of you may have heard that Craven Arms (Shropshire) has had an outbreak with 21 people testing positive. Craven Arms is situated 6 mile north of Ludlow and 4 miles west of where I live, so not the news I wanted to hear. I don’t like pigeonholing certain people but there is no getting away from the fact that because those infected ‘thus far’ are from a traveller’s site so it does leave me thinking whether or not they will adhere to the quarantine rules. I think its fair to say that most traveller sites tend to look out for their own rather than that of the wider community so we have decided to lock-down for a week or so and see how things pan out.

The good news is that I will have more time to do some more tail wagging  :D

Sorry, I didn’t realise I couldn’t give my view if somebody had a similar view 5 hours ago.

Jeez, I get it in the neck when I disagree with someone, now it’s happening when I’m in agreement.
