Baa-by

Unread post by Onelife »

There are a few days in the year that I don’t particularly like …these last few days being some of them. I’ll try not and bleat to much but it is at this time of the year our local farmer separates the lambs from the ewes. I think our farmer hates hearing the mom’s crying so he puts them all in a field next to our house :( . The crying has continued for the past past 48 hours but my wife has said I need to man up a bit so I’m trying to pull myself together, not so the ewes, they are still calling out for their Baaby’s this morning. The thing I do find a little upsetting is that the bleating sounds as if they are saying Baaby, as in ‘where’s my Baaby’ Do any of you need a tissue yet?

Well it goes without saying that lamb is off the menu for the next few weeks.

Enjoy your Sunday Roasts

I think Mrs O has the right idea. While the farmer is busy with the youngn's nows your chance to grab one of the mums for the freezer. Now where's the mint source.

I don't think that's an option Mob......He also dumps tons of cow manure in the other field opposite to us....you really do get that country feeling living in Shropshire. :)

We get plenty of opportunities to pick up a leg of lamb as we often get a couple of strays in our garden when the farmer is droving them to different fields......They seem to be very weary of me.....I can't think why!

We always knew when there was going to be a wedding cos the farmer used to slurry his field. Lovely country aroma for the bride's big day.
I was taught to be cautious

He’s probably divorced, still paying alimony and likes kicking up a stink.

Not so much bleating this morning
